I’ve started digging into Snap-8 peptide—apparently it works like a topical form of botox for the skin—and I want to know whether it truly delivers results.

Reddit has shown me a real mix of opinions, and it seems people apply it in a few different ways: certain folks put it into serums or lotions, while others go the micro-needling route with it.

GHK-Cu is something I’ve been pinning and I’m a big fan, so now I’m considering whether Snap-8 could be a solid thing to add. Topical, obviously.

If you’ve given it a go, what was your experience? Worth it? Did anything actually change? Spill it.

Thanks <3

Blend Snap8 with GHK into a serum...that way you handle 2 things at once. My complexion resembles a miner's boot, so I doubt they offer anything potent enough for my case.

I've been thinking about mixing snap-8 into my GHK-cu injection. My GHK-cu dose began at 200mcg daily, and I've just bumped it up to 240 mcg per day.

I’m kicking off my own skin serum formulation as well. The lineup: SNAP-8, GHK-Cu, Matrixyl and hyaluronic acid. I took an eye dropper bottle, emptied it out, and transferred the peptides into it, so I can place a few drops at a time onto my finger. So far it appears to be doing the job nicely.

I've kept up with topical Snap 8 alongside ghk for 2 months straight - it might be stopping the turkey neck I got from my dad, though I can't say for certain. Based on what I've come across, it seems to act more as a short-term lift rather than providing the extended effects you'd get from ghk. Even so, I apply it daily, simply because the price was low.

That said, ghk has clearly made a difference for my rosacea. I used to rely on ivermectin cream whenever flareups hit, and I haven't needed it once in 2 months.

are you really putting snap8 into your body via injection??

If GHK-Cu and Snap 8 are combined in the same mixture, Snap 8's effectiveness drops. Two options: apply them in separate layers with a 20 minute gap, or split them between morning and night.

Where can I get SNAP 8? I was about to add some to my upcoming order, but I've come across a few listings from domestic single-vial sellers.

On my China price list, it's 100mg for $45 (10x10mg). Given that every other price on that site looks like a standard 10x China markup, what's the deal—how is cheap SNAP 8 being sourced?

Got a source for that? No offense meant, I'm just honestly curious. I should also mention I've never used any skin care product besides sunscreen, so I have no point of reference.

I can't see myself being drawn to Snap-8. To me, a frozen, expressionless Botox look comes across as odd. An AI search told me that SNAP-8 (Acetyl Octapeptide-3) is a topical peptide meant to lessen expression wrinkles by loosening facial muscles, serving as a needle-free, non-invasive substitute for Botox. Frequently labeled "Botox in a jar," it functions by blocking neurotransmitters, which reduces muscle tightening and softens lines across the forehead and near the eyes.

The evidence here leans more toward theory than actual studies. Oxidation is a risk that comes with copper. Since Snap-8 is a fragile peptide, it can be susceptible to that kind of damage.

If you're purchasing a formulation that contains both, the manufacturers are (typically) in a better position to keep them stable and manage the pH. But if you're combining them on your own, without the right chelators, antioxidants, or pH buffers, their strength may decline as time passes.

As for the 20 minute claim, I'm not sure. I can't locate the original source where I picked that up. In theory, though, using them as two separate serums likely beats blending them together.

Marketers frequently pitch Snap-8 as "Botox in a bottle," yet it won't leave your face frozen the way Botox does, nor does it operate through the same mechanism.

Botox gets injected into the muscles, where it briefly interrupts nerve signaling. SNAP-8, by contrast, is merely a topical peptide that has only a minor impact on surface-level signals. It can't penetrate deeply enough to get at the muscles, so it provides a modest softening of expression lines without paralyzing the muscles as Botox would.

Anything you apply on the surface won't do what Botox does. Topical products only reach the outer layers, so at best they briefly smooth out expression lines. Botox, on the other hand, gets injected straight into the facial muscles and temporarily stops them from moving. That lets other muscles compensate, giving the skin room to contract in areas where deeper creases are developing. If a topical existed that could hide my resting bitch face, I swear I'd soak myself in the stuff.

I feel the same way — dealing with the public means hearing absolute nonsense on the regular, and my coworkers are no exception🤦‍♀️

“What was that?”👸🏼

A few days back I went to order snap 8, but the final price never came through. (I was hoping to add tb500 plus their Botox 👩‍🔬 could be a sign?)

When you prepare the snap, what do you combine it with—hyaluronic acid alone, or simply the reconstituted solution?

I’ve started taking ivermectin again to manage my rosacea. GHK does provide some benefit, but it doesn’t compare to ivermectin—that medication wipes out all those tiny demodex mites. I also made the change to horse paste, and it performs reeeeally well.
