Should the 20mg vial hold twice the powder of a 10mg vial?

I was labelling vials, since I ended up with 2 different vial contents. Both are Ipamorelin blended with CJC-1295 no dac, one kit being a 10mg vial at a 5/5 mix while the other is a 20mg vial at a 10/10 mix. So my question: should the 20mg vial not hold twice as much lyophilized powder as the 10mg vial, or am I missing something?

The quantity of powder you see inside a vial isn't a reliable indicator of how much peptide is actually present. Fillers, stabilizers, and similar ingredients account for a large share of that powder. Whether the peptide content is high or low, the quantity of these additives stays more or less the same.

From what I understand, nearly all of what's inside these vials is just filler, so they tend to look equally full regardless of the stated amount.

Right. In the majority of vials, the real peptide content is so small it would hardly leave a speck within...every one of us would assume we'd been scammed.

A few mm-wide speck of powder is about what 10 or 20 mg of the real peptide looks like. To keep it stable through lyophilisation, the remainder is a sugar such as mannitol.
