Should I bother returning or just eat it

I’m wondering if sending back some peptides to an online research supplier is even worth the effort. I only started reading up on Reta late last year, and that happened to be around the same time I kept seeing that it would no longer be sold after the year ended. (That was also before I came across this community, which has really opened my eyes.) In a rush, I bought 12 vials of r10 at roughly $80 apiece (yes, I realize how that sounds…), but since then I’ve located other vendors through this site and they’ve worked out well. So here’s what I’m stuck on. I contacted the reseller’s customer service, and they said they’d take the return, but my concern is that because it’s Reta, and they might not be able to resell it, they could pull something like saying it arrived damaged or wasn’t acceptable, and then refuse the return. If that happens, I lose both the money and the Reta. Am I overthinking this? Should I just absorb the loss and treat it as a lesson? I get the feeling disputing it with my credit card company would be a pain lol!

Ask for your money back or dispute the charge since you paid too much!? Take it as a lesson. That burden is yours to carry. Do more homework and gain knowledge. The peptide research community is not Amaz$n.

Send back 50% of the items!

You chose to purchase that product at that price. Since you're looking for input, my take is to hang onto it. Everyone has paid too much at one time or another. Simply use what you bought, then put more effort into research and comparing prices next time, the way the majority of us do. Also, don't bring that same attitude into the grey market, since chargebacks and disputes end up harming the flexible payment options available to the rest of us.

Thanks for that. That's exactly why I posted here. I'm still figuring things out and didn't want to come off like a jerk. Clearly I wasn't ready for any of that in the gray space, but because this one was with a credit card and seemed somewhat legit, I figured a more seasoned community could weigh in.

Please don't treat reselling as a casual thing. If you go ahead with it, make sure the buyers are EDUCATED. Confirm they understand reconstitution and the correct injection amount. Folks who are clueless frequently inject 10 times the proper dose, land in the ER, and then blame the friend who supplied it. Next thing you know, the media is running stories about how DANGEROUS Chinese GLP 1s are, and that friend faces prosecution.

I'll most likely send back 50% of it, as another person mentioned. That feels like a fair middle ground. And the idea of selling it gave me a good chuckle. I truly wouldn't even know where to begin with that!

Take this as a lesson and keep going. At least you weren't scammed out of everything, and even if you've seen a lower price elsewhere, customs could still grab it.

A refund was offered by them, after which they will ship it.

Does it do the job?

This was your choice.

Caviat Emptor

It's yours now. Put it to use.

If no testing happened, that changes things.

Odds are the following order will cost even more.

It's not as if the stuff was fake.... I really don't get why a return would even be accepted just because you came across a lower price somewhere else. That's absurd. Around here, you'd have to produce a lab report proving it's garbage before they'd consider a reship or refund, and even then they won't ask for the product back — dealing with inventory adjustments and sending a replacement costs them more than just eating the 20 bucks.

On the grey market, paying by credit card gives you zero recourse, since doing a chargeback is something you absolutely never do under any circumstances. This isn't Amazon we're talking about. Plainly put: you bought dope from a pusher, illegally.

When a grey vendor might be expected to refund someone, the accepted situations are only these: 1) the shipment gets seized by Customs or goes missing; 2) the fill is substantially short; 3) the product is bunk or worse.

My guess is your vendor takes the return back but hands over no refund at all. Still, don't even consider that route, please.

There are trustworthy forums much like this one, plus Discord/Telegram servers, that run Buy/Sell/Trade (BST) sections where you can list them for sale. Set your price somewhat below what the market currently charges, cover shipping yourself, state the vendor's name outright, say you'll include any relevant COAs you happen to have, and they ought to move quickly.

That clears things up! So maybe this seller wasn't operating in the gray market after all — sounds like a standard online store instead. Returns are something they officially support, policy and all. Assuming I get written proof that they'll take the item back, wouldn't that give me a solid basis to file a dispute with my credit card issuer?

Do any gray-market research vendors actually take credit cards?
They might allow returns and issue refunds, since a chargeback could put their account at risk.
Sending back 50% feels like a reasonable middle ground—they still come out ahead.
On the other hand, they might simply rip you off, so you should get some kind of return authorization and tracking in case you end up having to open a dispute.
