I’m dealing with a vendor who claims my order went out on April 3rd. The tracking shows a pickup scan on April 3rd, but nothing since then. When I asked the carrier’s chat bot, it told me that if there’s no movement within 24 hours after a pickup scan, I should contact the warehouse, because the package probably never made it to the carrier.

The vendor is adamant that it was shipped, and because I didn’t buy insurance, they’re telling me I’m out of luck.

Has anyone else run into something like this?

Isn't it the carrier that performs the pickup scan? I should mention, on 2 occasions I've had a package remain at a UPS store for 48 hrs. Both times it was in the same city. There's no justification for that.

No insurance on the order?

Call out the seller by name.. Nearly every one of them provides a free reship when a package goes missing or tracking stalls for x days

The carrier might perform the pickup scan, yet for a whole month nothing else changed. According to the carrier, if 24 hours pass without any update, that means the package was never received by them.

Exactly.

It's the vendor's responsibility to cover insurance. Not once has anyone asked whether I'd like my package from CN to be insured.

I'm with you on this one. Never once have I been asked about insurance for shipping peptides, nor have I heard of that happening to anyone else. Typically the initial scan comes from the seller and happens before the package is even collected. When tracking shows nothing after that point, it means the courier never received the item. That's really strange and sketchy, likely a scammer.

Go with a well-known vendor instead, and double-check that you're using their real, verified contact info.

Please share which vendor this is. If you came across them here in this forum, letting us know would help everyone out a lot. You may also notice that the vendor quickly starts answering you once their name is out there.

Once more, this. Identify and expose them.

I’ve been through something similar with a different vendor, so I can share what happened on my end. That other vendor sent a shipment, and tracking only ever showed that a label had been created. There was no pickup scan at all, yet the vendor had handed the package over to UPS. After it sat like that for 24 hours, I reached out to the vendor, they checked with UPS, and UPS said the package had been returned to them. Still, the vendor I usually work with comes across as very professional, and they even offered me a hundred dollar credit because of the hassle. I turned it down politely. All I wanted was the item I had paid for. In the end, they made sure it went out before the Labor Day break, and it arrived today. It had been mailed at the end of April.

Here’s my theory about what went wrong with that other vendor. They passed the package to Yanwen, and Yanwen sent it back. The warehouse likely never told them, so they assumed the package was lost. Their position was that because I hadn’t bought insurance, the loss was mine. But I’m certain the package wasn’t lost.

I let the vendor that isn’t shipping the product know that I’ll be posting a bad review on this forum, and I’m fine with absorbing the loss, since I only placed a small order with them as an initial trust check/vendor feeler purchase.

Just dropping in with an update. It turned out my order was never actually sent, which the vendor discovered on their end. They went ahead and shipped it, and it arrived today. A friend who had also ordered from them recommended this vendor, so I was confident they were legit. I even told them not to stress about sending it, but once they confirmed it hadn't gone out, they still made good on the purchase. It took some time to get everything straightened out, but overall I'm satisfied as a customer.
