I'm getting ready to begin some research involving Selank and Semax. After looking around here and in several other spots, I've run into plenty of answers that contradict each other, so I'm hoping a researcher with hands-on experience can help clear a few things up.

RS is planning 300mcg of each peptide, following a 5/2 on/off pattern. Based on what I've read, mornings appear to be the ideal time for this. My questions are:

Is it fine to mix both into a single shot?

With a 5/2 schedule, is a 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off approach required? I've seen posts mentioning 2 weeks, others saying 4, and so on.

How did your RS handle the 4 weeks off? Did the symptoms come back in full?

RS tends to deal with irritability and a short fuse, which they suspect might be tied to depression, though "sadness" has never really been an issue for them.

Thanks for your time.

Hi @walkingdreadd ,

Have you thought about studying these via the intranasal (IN) route? I've looked into both that way before (250-600mcg), and they gave me favorable outcomes.

I've gone back and forth on putting them into my stack again as sub-q. My plan was to pin each one on its own. Every day for a few weeks, done the same way I used them IN: Semax in the morning, Selank in the late afternoon or evening.

Pinpointing when symptoms come back is tricky for me, since I wasn't doing my research with symptom resolution as the goal. My focus was on boosting productivity and mood in general.

On top of that, I began doing a dry sauna 4 times per week and Sensory Deprivation tanks 3 times per week, where it's only me, myself and I, alone with my thoughts, my breath, doing mindfulness meditation. So I can't say for sure what got me to the headspace I'm in now. I'd call it a mix of all 3.

I'm keeping up with this thread to see what others say. Thanks for bringing it back. Best of luck!

I appreciate the information you've shared. After reading some about RS administering it via nasal spray, I might try a series of experiments injecting them as a nasal spray to check whether any variation shows up. For the time being, I'll also inject them individually, and I may test Sem during the AM and Sel during the PM.

Both of them go into one syringe for me

Perhaps include pe 22-28 as well

After taking Salbutamol through an inhaler, I completed a workout at the gym. In my view, administering both Semax and Selank intranasally could be preferable, since this route may facilitate crossing the BBB more effectively.

Semax has given me brain fog and aphasia problems, though selank is something I really like. morning IN with high doses

For me too, these two only do anything when taken IN.

This morning RS ran 300mcg of Semax, with zero noticeable effect. Then, several hours afterward, RS took 300mcg of Selank, and that compound threw RS off badly: pulse went up, RS got dizzy, and felt shaky. Because of that, RS chose to stop any additional investigation of either peptide.

EDIT: Even so, once the panic episode passed, RS ended up feeling calmer and more dialed in. RS is also glad to be breathing, so perhaps it acted through some other mechanism.

My sem arrived earlier today. What I want to know is the prep method for intranasal use. Is it possible to combine

Hey, good to hear your Semax arrived.

To start, this is the tool I rely on for working out doses — the IN calculator. https://intranasal.peprecon.com/

Below is the saline I went with.

PURAX Saline Solution 0.9%,Nasal... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FDPRPNTD?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Alternatively.

Shusher Care Saline Ampoules -... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D1HCHRS7?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

For bottles, I used these spray ones.

ZHWKMYP 10 Pcs Nasal Spray... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DXZWDM9Y?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

My usual ratio was 5mL of Saline to 10mg of Semax or Selank. That works out to roughly 250mcg for each spray.

My recon procedure went like this:

1. Pull 1-2mL into a syringe

2. Use the saline in the syringe to recon the vial.

3. Put the leftover saline into the spray bottle.

4. Once reconned, filter the Semax into the spray bottle that already holds the saline.

5. Mix the two gently.

Here's a sample of the label I print out to stick on the bottle.

Hopefully that's useful.

Message me if anything comes up.

There's no spray volume dosage listed that I can find. Perhaps I overlooked it. If that number isn't available, then whatever you work out is only an estimate. And if each spray really delivers 0.1 ml and contains 250 mcg, then with 10 mg of pep, wouldn't a 500 mcg dose require 4 ml of saline in total?

Typically my spray bottles fall in the .12 to .13 range. Another option is to dilute with additional saline and simply use more sprays. Eventually, once you decide how to reconstitute it, it comes down to what works best for you.

Exactly. Once you know how much each spray delivers, you can tweak it however you like. I go with 1 mg in total since my brain can use all the assistance available.

Should you want any guidance for getting them ready for injection, just let me know. I can walk you through the method I used to put it together.
My sem arrived earlier today. What I want to know is the prep method for intranasal use. Is it possible to combine

7% Saline Solution with 7% Sodium Chloride Saline?#-7-saline-solution-with-7-sodium-chloride-saline
Hey, good to hear your Semax arrived.

To start, this is the tool I rely on for working out doses — the IN calculator. https://intranasal.peprecon.com/

Below is the saline I went with.

PURAX Saline Solution 0.9%,Nasal... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FDPRPNTD?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Alternatively.

Shusher Care Saline Ampoules -... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D1HCHRS7?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

For bottles, I used these spray ones.

ZHWKMYP 10 Pcs Nasal Spray... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DXZWDM9Y?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

My usual ratio was 5mL of Saline to 10mg of Semax or Selank. That works out to roughly 250mcg for each spray.

My recon procedure went like this:

1. Pull 1-2mL into a syringe

2. Use the saline in the syringe to recon the vial.

3. Put the leftover saline into the spray bottle.

4. Once reconned, filter the Semax into the spray bottle that already holds the saline.

5. Mix the two gently.

Here's a sample of the label I print out to stick on the bottle.

Hopefully that's useful.

Message me if anything comes up.

That's a big help. I'll follow this same protocol and come back with an update.

I did SUBQ semax at 500mcg daily for 2 weeks and noticed zero effects. A few days back I raised the dose to 750mcg per day, and there’s still nothing different. Down the road I might give IN a shot, though that won’t be happening soon.

Just a heads-up: steer clear of the inexpensive nasal sprayers sold on Amazon.

I ran a test using tap water, and how many sprays came out per 10ml varied unpredictably.

Worse still, every single one eventually failed — all 6 of them — with the nozzle tip snapping off and flying into the ceiling with real force. If I'd been using it for real, that would have been a problem.

I got my money back and switched to Snoot. Snoot delivers very consistently, with the odd misfire now and then, but it beats the alternatives.

Someone told me Semax MIGHT not dissolve properly unless BAC water is used.

My routine is this...

10mg Semax with 2ml Hospira, once it's clear (20 mins) move it into a spray bottle, then add a 5ml ampule of sterile saline.

That works out to 7 sprays = 1mg, so at the full dose I do 4 sprays right after waking, then 3 more sprays at 3pm. 20 days on, then 1 or 2 weeks off before restarting. I'm considering just running it from the 1st through the 20th each month.

My first selank order hasn't arrived yet, so that's what I'll tackle next.
