I'm almost at the 8-week mark on Reta now, and my weight has gone from 85kg down to 77kg during that stretch.

My starting dose was 1mg weekly, then in week two I moved up to 2mg and have stayed there ever since.

I've just bought my first batch of grey market Reta, which I'll be running over the next couple of months! Fingers crossed for me!

The Reta I began with came as a preloaded disposable pen.

For the first couple of weeks my appetite was basically gone. But these last couple of weeks I've settled into a good spot: I'm still eating, just a way lot less, and the weight keeps coming down.

Is it likely I'll eventually have to raise my dose to keep things going, or will 2mg stay fine?

That's a great outcome! Congrats 🎉

Don't take it for granted that your dose will have to go up. Over 5–6 months I've gradually climbed to 8mg, while my partner continues to do fine at 2mg. Response varies from person to person!

A dose can be maintained for as long as it keeps delivering results. What you want is the smallest dose that still works.

For some people an increase becomes necessary once the perceived effect weakens, while others are able to remain at one dose through their whole weight loss journey.

The reta you began with came from the grey market.

Titration upward is how these medications are designed to be used. So in statistical terms, yes, you will likely have to titrate up, at minimum until you hit your weight loss goal. After that, who knows? You might be able to titrate down, you might need to stay at that level, or you might have to titrate up.

Keep your dose where it is as long as it's working — there's no need to bump it up. I've been on 2.5 mg twice a week for several months now. Eventually some food noise came back, but I've handled it with protein instead of my old go-to: junk food n beer. BTW, I went from April to August and dropped 45 lbs, and I've kept it off without much struggle and without raising my dose. That said, everyone's different, so titrating upward may be necessary for you — just do it because you have to, not because of community protocols.

The reason they avoid doing it is that they already know. Which supplier is selling you pre-filled Reta pens? Whoever it is, they're doing something illegal.

I have currently been on Reta now for just coming up to 8 weeks. I have dropped from 85kg to 77kg in this time.

I initially started off on 1mg per week and jumped up to 2mg in the second week, remaining on this since.

I have just purchased my first batch of grey market Reta and will be taking this over the next couple of months! Wish me well!

My initial Reta was a preloaded disposable pen.

The first couple of weeks I had little to no appetite at all. However, over the past couple of weeks i have found myself in a good position where i am still eating just a way lot less, whilst still continuing to drop in weight.

Is it likely that over time i will need to increase my dosage to maintain or will the 2mg remain ok?

Yeah, eventually you'll need to raise the mg because your body builds tolerance!

Right now I'm moving from TRZ over to Reta, and I've landed on a sweet spot of 5mg T plus 2mg Reta.

Some people raise a lot of controversy about this stack, but I have zero sides. I'll stay at this level until it stops working… once the hunger noise comes back, I'll increase my Reta dose and cut back on the T.

I'm in maintenance at 190lbs, down from 247.5

Allot of progress!
