I have been on Reta 1mg every 4 days for about 4 weeks and started tesa/ipa blend about 1 week ago. Was down about 6 lbs at week3. Since starting tesa/ipa my appetite has come back and gained 3 lbs back.

Has anyone experienced this?

I would have thought it was water weight due to the tesa but my hunger has clearly came back.

I just titrated up to 2mg every 4 days on the Reta to see if it will stabilize. Thanks!

Water weight. Happened to me, but I added 8 lbs while in a large caloric deficit due to reta.

After 5 weeks its finally starting to come off.

The water came off? Or have the water stayed and you just lost another 8 lbs? I started Tesa today, so let's see whats going to happen. But I'm taking it without IPA. Just Reta (currently 2 mg every 4 Days) and now Tesa with 1mg for the first week and 2mg after the second - if everything is fine.

Good point, not sure. I'm on 2mg Reta, 2mg Tesa + 1mg Ipa daily and haven't changed anything.

I just know the scale finally started coming down after 5 weeks. I looked leaner and know I was losing fat, but the Tesa kept adding water weight and cancelled out my fat loss.

Good to know. After the 5 weeks how long before it fully resolved?

This matches my experience except I increased my reta to 4mg every four days. But that tesa/ipa stall lasted at least a month.

I love tesa ipa, the stall broke, i dropped five pounds and then started loading creatine again. So I'm now in another stall. I have time and Im getting stronger.

My advice is keep it up.

(Oh yeah, lift)

Similar experience for me when I added gh back in after I started Reta. I actually gained a few pounds (water) initially but now in my 5th week I’m down 9lbs.

Echoing what everyone is saying here. 4mg Reta weekly, 1Tesa/0.3Ipa daily. Initially I gained a few lbs, but now about 5-6 weeks in down a few from before I started. Strength holding pretty stable, and definitely leaning out. Getting IGF-1 retested in a couple of weeks to see if z score has improved from -0.9 before starting Tesa/Ipa.

May I ask, why you combine Tesa + IPA? Yeah, I know, it has a synergestic effect. But on what? Yes, the GH production is triggered. And yes, visceral fat gets dissolved into fatty acids and into the blod. And from here, the fatty acids will be removed within minutes. Either oxidized / burned into ATP or turned again into fat. Either visceral fat again or subcutanous fat. And according to unchecked AI answer, about 50-70% of the fatty acids will be turned into fat again, even with Reta and GIP and Glucagon.

So why do you want to combine Tesa and IPA? So that even more fat is turned into fatty acid and back again?

That is at least one thing, that I don't realy understand.

PS: I started yesterday with a test-dose of 500mcg and will take 1mg today.

Net: By blending, the goal is to leverage tesamorelin’s enhancement of natural GH pulse, and ipamorelin strengthens it further through leveraging different receptors .

More info:

Tesamorelin and ipamorelin hit different receptors (GHRH receptor vs. ghrelin receptor) but both amplify the same GH pulse — so together they release more GH than either alone.

I do a 6:1 ratio. The 6:1 ratio (60mg to 10mg) was determined because it is the standard dose for each peptide. Tesamorelin’s clinical dose is 2mg/day. Ipamorelin’s typical effective dose is 200–300mcg. Divide those and you land around 6:1.

Water weight was a real thing for me. I swing 10lbs pre and post workout.

IME Reta does the heavy lift on the appetite and weight loss, but I am certain the Tesa/IPA blend (moreso than Tesa alone) 5 on/2 off, fasted before bed, is responsible for recovery and strength maintenance and ability to drive up v02 max significantly.

I go in for testing in one week to see impact of the blend on IGF levels. I won’t be surprised if I see data that suggests I should dial back a bit.

Tesa + Ipa is a 1+1=4 situation IMO - to be confirmed with data.

Kyli,

I mostly wanted the IPA blend to also help my Sleep which is terrible. IPA helps sleep, recovery, & muscle support more than the Tesa. So far, the blend has been good to help with the sleep and I lift weights about 4x a week.

Ipamorelin significantly improves deep (slow-wave) sleep, which is critical for:

  • Muscle recovery
  • Hormonal balance
  • Cognitive restoration

That is a lot of Ipa to take daily. Drop that to around 300mcg at most unless you're using a blend. If that is the case, go with a blend with a better ratio next time.

I also experience water retention when I am on my Ipa/Tes cycle. And there is some added hunger as well. But the deep sleep and recovery is next level. The water retention will subside over time or once the cycle is done. I don't concern myself so much with that as long as my workouts, diet and sleep are good.

Oops, meant to put .5mg or 500mcg. Def. not taking 1mg.

FYI my vial is blended at 10mg/3mg. I have been doing 2mg/0.6 mg tesa/ipa blend at night. I think I am going to drop that to 1mg/0.3 going forward.

That is what I do. I find 1mg/300mcg to be very effective for me. I have a test coming up in a few weeks so I can quantify it but subjectively and based on the slight water retention, deeper sleep and recovery I can say it is effective.

Hey Guys,

today something happened, that happens often, when I tried to lose weight before. I get ill. The visceral fat is the toxic waste dump of the body. And when the fat gets lipolysed, it releases the toxic waste into the blood stream. On Reta in about 2 Month I lost 15kg. But now with 2 times Tesa I got something that feels like a cold and even a stye on the eye. How do you handle it? In the previous years I fell always into old patterns. And these contained at least a few bottles of Coke.
