Looks like I messed up as a beginner. The blend I picked up is 1:1 Tesa/ipa. Would 300mcg of each even do anything? From what I gather, Tesa wouldn't even bother showing up at that dose.

No need to include the tesa in your tally — treat this blend purely as an IPA source, and pick up tesa on its own so you can add 1.7 mg.
 
I've only just begun using tesa/ipa. My dose is 1mg of tesa along with .5mg of ipa. Even though I ordered the vials separately, I draw both into one syringe. Today is only my second day on it, though.
