Hi everyone, is there anyone here who has dealt with joint and muscle pain? My hands and feet hurt, and my knees and left heel do too. My muscles feel somewhat tight as well. I'm just trying to work out whether something is causing a reaction in me. I've come across rare reports on Reddit. I was taking motsc and ghk cu too. Kpv was also part of my routine, but I quit it before the signs worsened. I have a doctor's appointment booked.

I can share more details in a later update. Everything appeared to come on fairly fast. My dose is only 1.6 mg

Thanks.

Any dehydration clues, such as darker urine or rings fitting more loosely?

How long ago did these symptoms begin? Do they intensify at particular times of day? Is there any swelling?

When were your most recent injections of reta, MOTS-c, and GHK-Cu? Have you noticed any ISRs?

Dehydration crossed my mind first as well.

I wouldn't point a finger at the kpv — it tends to be anti-inflammatory.

Strangely, this pattern resembles a -morelin effect more than any of the other compounds mentioned.

What was the start date for each pep, and when did these symptoms first show up?

Right, and anabolic steroids could also explain muscle tightness. That said, for joint problems the -morelin/GH peptides are what I'd suspect first, unless E2 has dropped because of anabolic steroid use. From what OP has posted before, though, OP is female.

AI on reta:

The most prominent non-GI neuro-sensory signal in Phase 3 trials was dysesthesia (altered or heightened skin sensitivity/tingling), affecting up to 12.5%–20.9% of participants at higher doses. Users often confuse superficial nerve/skin sensitivity with deep joint or muscle aches.

In my experience, joint pain usually eases as the weight comes off, and that was true for me. I still have occasional knee flare-ups, but I no longer take any pain killers for everyday joint pain.

I'd suggest finding some Reta that has been tested. Like other people have said, what you're taking doesn't seem to be Reta.

Was the "reta" from a fresh vial or kit? Did you switch vendors? Has your weight been dropping while using this same reta?

Beyond figuring out what to do about the reta, I'd also ditch the vendor BAC as a precaution:

I had a vial that was great but was over 3 months the last time I used it and I got cloudy Reta. I got pH strips to check the bac pH before reconstituting now to use up vendor bac.

Even BAC that has been tested (typically only for benzyl alcohol, endotoxins, sterility, and pH) may contain unknown ingredients, unless it's pharma grade from Pfizer/Hospira or Genetek.

As you seem to be suggesting, I'd pause everything, reta included, until you work out what's going on. Meanwhile, keeping up fluids with electrolytes can't hurt. For me, dehydration tends to hit harder when weight loss or GI side effects are more pronounced.

Endotoxins are another thing to watch for these days:

This looks like it could be something else — for instance inflammatory arthritis, which is why I'm concerned.

Endotoxins are another thing I've considered. And now the motsc has me wondering too. As far as the Reta goes, I get the benefits and side effects I'd expect whenever they show up.

I haven't done testing myself, but plenty of test results from this vendor have come back good, and lately I haven't heard anything negative or from anyone with similar symptoms. Others have tested the Reta and ss31, though not for endotoxins.

My best guess at the timeline is in the post above. It's a mess. Yes, I can be stupid.

Dehydration doesn't seem likely to me.

It sounds like the soreness and stiffness showed up after you quit KPV?

On top of that, the timeline plus how many problems and worries you're juggling can't be doing much for your peace of mind — I'm sorry you're dealing with all of it! My suggestion: locate a group buy that delivers inside the UK/Europe, then put your money only into the fundamentals — the ones that get tested, so you can be about as certain as possible of what's actually going into the syringe.

Switched back to oral HRT, joint pain subsided but I think it may have been there slightly.

Naturally, you should have your doctor verify your hormone levels. I'm aware that in men, testosterone can drop when the dose isn't sufficient — usually this happens with the topical gel, since that form has lower bioavailability compared with injections.

I doubt dehydration is the cause.

yes, I picked up on that as well. Since I hadn't been sore previously, I did wonder whether this was a rebound effect, or whether my body had been suppressing inflammation and now everything is out of whack. The most severe pain, however, came while I was using kpv. I'll avoid it for quite a while.

Yeah, groupbuys that ship internationally are tough to come by. I've been searching, but I've been in a group buy that fell through and have watched others fail too, with either nothing arriving or useless products.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Hi — a vendor having a BANNER here genuinely doesn't mean a thing. Really. Have you looked at the COA and gone to the testing site to verify it yourself? And are you filtering? With any GLP, joint problems really shouldn't be happening — if anything, you'd expect the reverse.

Yeah, I figure she'll do the same again — she's done it previously. Transdermal absorption doesn't seem to happen for me, and since I'm already at the maximum oral dose, I'm not sure what the next step is. I'll also have the full panel of inflammatory tests run.

Oh, I'm aware. The problem was that I couldn't name the vendor in my post, so I had to edit it while posting, and I didn't want anyone claiming I have a bad vendor (even though I realize they can still receive and sell bad batches too). Yes, I've reviewed the COAs and I do filter.

I also found it strange that Reta might cause inflammation and joint pain; it appears to do the opposite, particularly by protecting and growing cartilage and helping with many immune diseases. Still, I came across a few people who reported having it, and it shows up on AI, but I can't tell whether what they went through matches what I'm going through. That's what led me to post. It would be an idiosyncratic reaction, so something rare, like an abnormal immune response to the drug, another peptide, or something else in the vials. It seems motsc may have more individual reports of joint pain. But there's so much going on that I may never figure it out, and I really hope it goes away.

What worries me specifically with Reta is the thinning and sensitivity of the skin on my fingertips and toes, so I was attempting to link those together.
A drop in estrogen is what leads to thinning of the skin

I appreciate the reminder and will bring it up with my doctor. I had assumed my skin was doing fine and hadn't considered that it might be thinning, so that's a helpful thought I honestly hadn't thought of.

It's a relief to think this might not be connected to the peptide.

Thank you all.

To be honest, my experience was the reverse. Once the weight came off and I stopped feeling weighed down and puffy, I was noticeably more nimble. My legs tired less easily too, and my knees hurt less.
