Only began yesterday, so naturally I'm uncertain. My weight at the start: 100kg / 220lbs, height 184cm. I began exercising 6 months back. For 6 years I've attempted to shed pounds, constantly chasing quick fixes, which trapped me in a cycle of losing and regaining. Target: 80kg with 10 - 12% body fat.

I remain quite doubtful, and so far not much sensation. Began with 2mg, will observe the outcome.

Keep going. 🫡

Getting to therapeutic levels in your system requires 4 weeks. By week 2, you ought to be able to tell whether it's doing anything. When Tirz isn't the prior medication, 2 mg is a solid dose to begin with, though a few people start at a lower amount.

Welcome.

Give it time, as people have mentioned, it needs a while to accumulate in your body. I spent more than a year on Sema, and progress didn't show up until a few weeks had passed, though after that point it continues steadily. While you wait, be sure you're beginning to adopt the necessary adjustments, such as choosing better foods and getting into an exercise habit.

Best of luck on your path, and let us know how it goes.

Just so you know, results vary from person to person, but for me appetite suppression didn't show up until 6 days in, and it took 4 weeks before the weight started coming off quickly. Seeing so many others drop a lot of weight immediately had me pretty discouraged, and I figured I must be a non-responder. I also wasn't in a hurry to bump the dosage up the way others do, since racing upward too quickly leaves you with no room to move later on. For 3 months I've stayed at 2mg, and next week I'll only move to 2.5. The week after, I might go to 3mg, because this is the first week I haven't lost anything and my appetite is creeping back a bit, though I'm also a yo-yoer coping with vanity weight, so simply not gaining still counts as a win in my book.

a quick update — day 4 has arrived, and every side effect hit me except the ones i was hoping for. junk food still tempts me, and i'm able to eat whenever i choose to. i don't get that full feeling any earlier. that said, if i decide to stop eating sooner, i'm not starving 2 hours later the way i normally would be. it comes across like a placebo that makes you pay more attention to your food and figure out how to manage it.

i'm still uncertain, but i'll continue posting updates

the effects are clear, no question about it. my meals are now a quarter of what they were before, and the fullness sticks around much longer. one large meal is all i can manage in a day, and anything beyond that i have to push through just to hit my protein. honestly it's hard to believe, and i'm only on my first dose. today is day 6, and i've dropped 4kg, 9lbs

Fresh update — I believe today marks day 11, and I'm down 6kg ; 13lbs.

The effects really kicked in 2 days ago. My appetite has basically vanished; the only reason I eat is because I have to.

What's really tripping me up is wanting food even when I'm unable to eat it. Honestly, that was my worry from the start — the food noise is still there, so I keep eating junk, just far less than before.

I'm pleased with how things are going, and the side effects have mostly faded. Anyway, I'll continue posting updates.

I'm eager to see what you share next. My wife deals with that constant food noise, whereas I don't struggle with it at all — no cravings whatsoever. I joined to pick up more knowledge, and although Reta works well for dropping pounds, I find some of the other "features" really intriguing, so time will tell what we discover as we continue along that route.

Given how doubtful and unsure you were at the start, I'd say you're already doing really well!

I'm in that same position — I haven't taken the plunge and purchased anything yet, and it's preciselyyy because of those worries and doubts. So it's genuinely nice to see others who shared those early feelings. It can feel like a lot of folks are totally risk-tolerant, diving right in without a second thought, haha

Hala Wallah

I'm in a similar situation—I began training 7 months back, and I want to reach 70-75 kilos while sitting around 15% body fat. Keeping lean mass is a huge priority for me as well. Have you been able to keep your strength up while dropping weight that quickly? My bench press hasn't moved in weeks.

hala wallah habibi,

looking at us, we're quite alike, honestly my strength stayed put, though i tweaked my routine somewhat, dropped the weight a bit and bumped the reps up slightly, simply because my carbs are lower than they used to be, my bench had been sitting at 120kg, and these days it's 110kg for 2 extra reps
