I was searching around to see whether other people were noticing improved symptoms, and that's how I landed on this thread.
To be honest, at my present dose of 1mg every 5 days, my ADHD symptoms have gotten a lot better. When I'm in the zone, I tend to see a task through to the end instead of hopping to the next one, and my thinking feels somewhat clearer.
My first guess has to do with the fat-burning side of it. Back when I practiced intermittent fasting, I often noticed that as my fasting window was wrapping up — the point where I'd be burning the most fat for energy — my mental clarity would climb sharply, and I'd catch myself zipping from one task to another that I'd otherwise have left rolling around in my head for a day or two. That same lifting of the brain fog has me connecting with clients at work better, and I can trade banter with them more easily. It unlocked a bit more of that 'wit' I used to feel while medicated or while burning fat through IF.
I'm not aware of any studies linking fat burning to mental clarity, but I always had that hunch with the IF, and now with the Reta it feels even stronger.
