Oh my god, I feel awful. After a long hike I was starving, so I ate a full meal on the same day as my weekly pin. I woke up feeling like death — my throat was burning (probably reflux-related) and the fatigue hit so hard that I passed out on my couch and nearly suffocated my cat. I never learn, but I couldn't help it, I was hungry. I remember this happening when I started.

I inject before going to sleep, when my stomach is fairly empty, and the following day I eat almost nothing — or nothing at all — because of this. I have stayed on 6mg for at least a couple of months now, and the side effect is still there.

I've been fortunate — that hasn't hit me. On reta, I've only had 1 full meal, and it was my first genuine cheat meal in 4 months; I just kept going until the whole thing was gone. I was a bit concerned, but it turned out fine.

That's a big part of what I like about my reta experience: food is still something I enjoy. I know people on tirz who never enjoy food at all — nothing ever appeals to them.

A full meal on its own is no issue for me either. What causes trouble is eating right before bed on the day I pin. I was aware of how it would go and did it anyway — I'd had nothing all day and was starving, so I finished a plate and went straight to sleep. Worst idea ever.

Since I inject GLPs every day of the week, food problems may not hit me the same way anymore, so I'm not really sure....On top of that, I take a decent amount of KPV daily, and I've always liked to think of it as something that shields my stomach......I'm actually considering bringing spicy foods back into my diet....Back when I first started with tirz, the acid reflux from it completely killed my tolerance for spice....good luck with what you're doing!....

Acid reflux has never been an issue for me on reta, though my wife struggles with it badly when she takes her Tirz doses. What I have noticed is that if I don't have something to eat before bed, I end up waking at 3 in the morning

When I began tirz, I needed to keep a bottle of Tums within reach at night....

My diet is clean enough that reflux seems impossible for me. Even at 6 split into 2 shots, reta doesn't cause me any disruption.

The food itself isn't what will bother you — it's the stomach acid. Even the nicest, lightest meal can come right back up mixed with acid... ugh. That said, I honestly believe the KPV keeps it under control for me.... 👍

On Tirz, she deals with really bad acid reflux. Tums and various other remedies haven't brought her much relief.

....and does lowering the dose not make a difference?....what about splitting the dose or changing to something else entirely?.......you come across as a smart guy, so I'm sure you've already gone through all the standard options and solutions by now....anyway, best of luck with it all.... 👍
