Quick end to my Cagri trial.

Just putting this out there as an FYI, data point about Cagri. I started a very low dose last week, .25 mg, and shortly after pinning I went to bed and started experiencing crazy itchy forearms and hands. Weird, but I live in a state with allergens floating all around you at all times, and I'd been outdoors most of the day, so didn't get overly concerned and really did NOT initially attribute it to the Cag.

This week, out of an abundance of caution, I preloaded a Claritin before repeating the low dose on schedule. Even with the Claritin on board, within a few moments I got itchy eyes enough that I pulled out a mirror to see if they were swollen (they were not) because they felt like it.

Then today, final straw was I feel like I got run over by a truck whose driver then backed up and ran me over again. Wasted, just tired to the extreme, which is very odd for me.

So, I'm not going to tempt fate with a 3rd run. In hindsight, should have paid more for a single vial to try out a new-to-me pep. I asked Mr. Gemini, and he says of the thousands in the Cag trials about 20-30 experienced similar systemic allergy response, so it's not entirely unheard of. Other possibility, of course, is my vials. No, didn't filter.

So, onward and upward. Was hopeful cag would break me out of a deep stall and it did DEFINITELY impact appetite both weeks, but had not yet broken through. So I guess I'll be upping my Tirz dose next week, see how it goes from there. Sigh, was hoping not to have to go to 15mg. But I'm 6 months in, stalled with still a long way to go.

Just putting this out there because in my extensive reading here and elsewhere about cag I dont recall reading anything about allergic reactions
 
I did purchase a single vial of cagri very early on...like five minutes into my pep journey where I bought three single vials of stuff-two tirz, one cagri-before finding the bounty that is this forum.

It is still unreconstituted in my fridge and more and more I think I'll probably never bother, because it doesn't seem worth it.

That said, I stack reta with tirz and love it. Try that!
 
I like cagri on some level. But when I’ve asked AI during stalls it seems to think doubling the gastric emptying delay by coupling it with Reta can slow progress. It’s also nice to have to pin less. Allergic reactions sound scary though!

Yeah, Ive actually experienced full on anaphylaxis once in my life, years ago, really not an experience I'd like to re-live. Ever.

Yes, until Elora is more widely available I'll keep the idea of Reta in my back pocket, if it comes to that. I'm not opposed to going above 15mg Tirz if necessary, I had zero ill effects from Tirz, it's been very good to me.

I haven’t been on tirz but wegovy gave me absolutely horrible side effects. Every morning I would throw up yellow bitter fluid that I assume was bile and it would persist even after stopping. I would have severe nausea until I finally did throw up. Reta has worked great and I’ve had absolutely no side effects whatsoever besides a bit of an injection site bruise one time.
 
Just came back to add: I'm not risking Cagri again after 2 allergic reactions, BUT - wow - I'm 3 days now past my second dose of .25 and the appetite suppression is NO JOKE. Stronger than I ever experienced with just Tirz. So carry on ye who are not allergic. Good stuff (well, except for the whole personal risk of anaphylaxis for ME 😳🤣)
 
I got my Cagri from a trusted vendor, so I’m pretty sure it is Cagri. But I’ve gone up to 1mg and get some suppression, but nothing crazy, and no fatigue. And I’m one of those weird people who get fatigue from most peps. CJC, SS-31, Tirz all = fatigue city for me.

You all make me wonder exactly how much of a biologically odd duck I am.

Just about every drug in existence has a chance of triggering allergic reactions , by far the most common ones are generalised rashes, although with GLP drugs localised injection site reactions are the most common reaction. But a variety of different allergic rashes have been reported for all the GLP drugs at around the 1% range, and a few rare very unpleasant ones. Some drugs are far more likely than others to cause this , antibiotics are probably the most likely of all. But if you get a systemic or generalised allergic reaction to a peptide, it is probably safer not to tempt fate and try it again to make sure, given the second reaction is usually going to be worse than the first one, and you just have to cross it off your list as something it is not safe for you to take.

At least elora is out now as an alternative.
