Question for those of you on TRT

I suspected I had low testosterone for a while. I did everything else to help move things in the right direction. Lost 65lbs and hit 15% body fat, stopped smoking, stopped drinking and ate healthy. I continued for over a year and the low testosterone symptoms I was having were still there. When I got my levels tested I was extremely low and now I started on trt.

Lots of others have great advice already for you. If you’re already hesitant to be dependant on it then wait until you have done most everything else and then go get tested. I didn’t want to have to be dependent on it either but really had no choice.

My goal is to run a marathon and not a sprint. Get that body fat way down first before jumping on test. Be patient and keep doing what you’re doing!

I’ve started on Reta and I’m still ramping up the dosage but I want to maximize the weight I have now to try and build some muscle.

The undisputed king appears to be TRT but I’m a chicken 🐥 and don’t want to be dependent on it forever. But I need muscle, particularly arms.

Is my understanding roughly correct here on TRT dependence? Is there alternate supplements/peptides/stack that I should consider while minimizing long term side effects?

Right now I do resistance training and take Whey, Creatine and hydrolized Collagen supplements. I continue to read and research but I’m not a bodybuilder just a guy with too much body fat.

My muscle mentor recommended HGH secretagogues not HGH somatropin. The first stimulates pituitary gland to release Natural HGH . The other scares me a bit after reading on it. I'm getting ready to stack it on top of my TRT. I'm 60 yrs old , so it's John Wayne time. Younger folks have bodies that can produce enough natural hormones they don't need synthetics for help.

I am surprised at this diagnosis. Its difficult for pituitary to generate HGH using secratogogues post 40s(assuming average human being and not elite athletes).

Could be , he's had great success with it. This dude is jacked with muscle. I'm going to give it a try, if it's a bust Hexorellin or Tesamorelin can step up to the plate.

Before running either of them I’d get your baseline igf/z, along with your A1C, know your bg/fbg. Make sure your lipids and everything is in check.. I’m 45 and skipped the secretagogues, as you’re only going to produce so much. Been on anywhere from 4-6iu GH for 9 mths and it’s been a total game changer for not only my recovery, but my physique.

I’ve also been on trt for years. Typically run 140mg/wk. That’s after recomp. Took years to get my numbers in range where I was running 200mg/wk. Cycle in low dose Deca for joint support a few times a year, which is awesome on the elbows, shoulders and knees. Getting old sucks! LoL.

Thanks brother I've been on TRT Enanthate for almost a year , lower dose. I start to cycle at 1ml a week , the nipples don't lie. Lol. I need a boost with something, my doc said no to Arimadex. I don't want totally block estrogen just suppress a bit.

In addition to other's comments about getting lab work done beforehand, adjusting lifestyle, etc. I want to offer up that the risk of permanent shutdown isn't very big at all.

You can use HCG every three months or so that , you're on test to keep your nuts working, and you can always PCT off if you need to.

I am very skeptical of this notion that your balls are oh so hard to recover and you should be terrified about losing your fertility. Not with access to HCG and other PCT. Not with access to nutrition to help keep your nuts and natural systems healthy. I don't buy the idea of permanent shutdown at all, it's more of a vague possibility than a real concern.

As far as traveling is concerned, you should be fine going as long as 8 days without your dose if you're using test cypionate. Domestic travel won't be an issue and you can always buy prescription labels for your gear. Going on cruises also won't be an issue.

Is your aim just purely for aesthetics? If so I would advice against using TRT and holding it off. Also what age are you right now? If you are in your 20s or 30s and on r3ta, then a good gym routine and discipline would be enough not unless you really have low testosterone levels. If you are in your 40s or 50s then getting on TRT would be worth considering and would be beneficial for you.
