Another influence was Vladimir Khavinson, dubbed “Putin’s gerontologist” by Russian media, who promoted peptide-based antiaging therapies derived from calf tissue.

Peptides—short chains of amino acids marketed for recovery, muscle growth and antiaging—have become popular among U.S. wellness figures including Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Joe Rogan, despite limited evidence for many of their claimed benefits.

Khavinson, who received one of Russia’s highest state awards from Putin for achievements in medicine, said in interviews that he sought to prolong the life of a leader whose departure would throw Russia into crisis. He also argued that human beings were meant to live to 120 years, citing biblical scripture.

Putin awarded Vladimir Khavinson, director of the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology, with an Order of Friendship during a ceremony at the Kremlin in 2017.

Khavinson died in 2024, at 77.

A Russian researcher by the name of Khavinson was involved in developing specific peptides for the benefit of his countrymen. He played a part in bringing about the ON and GEN families of peptides - pinealon, epitalon, vesugen, testagen, ovagen, pancragen, cardiogen, basically every "gen" you could name, as far as I recall. My understanding is that semax and selank also originated from Russia, or were at least discovered there?

Those peptides were dismissed by the US FDA as lacking human data, despite Russia having run its own clinical trials and studies. But everyone already knows the FDA is worthless when it comes to the grey market. Money drives everything, and Lily Direct is paying them to crack down and confiscate.

Regardless, Putin had the right idea.

Lately my attitude is simple: if the FDA opposes it, I'm inclined to support it. You're correct that Big Pharma has effectively taken ownership of the FDA at this point. Epitalon is something I've already used, my plan is to run it in 3 cycles per year, and Pinealon is next on my list to test.

This practice stretches back well before the Cold War. The Iron Curtain kept us in the dark about it. Then, during the late 80s and early 90s, information began to flow. Turns out they were engaged in the same efforts on their side. A tough, stubborn group—but also remarkably intelligent.

Government figures in Russia have been known to be "unalived". My theory is different.

Eli Lilly, Pfizer, and Novo Nordisk—the pharma cartel—had him "unalived". Should you search for him, he was involved in some intriguing work, and the FDA espionage dept tipped off the cartel. Issue resolved.

Worth pointing out: the Russians have conducted extensive research on both Selank and Semax. In fact, they appear on Russia's list of essential medicines.
