Ok how do we pronounce this stuff?

I've always heard Reta true tide but I just listened to an interview with David ricks (Lilly ceo) and he keeps calling ruh ta trutide

Is there a consensus? It's very important that I pronounce the Chinese peptide

I'm injecting into myself correctly lmao

The only version I've ever heard is the one you wrote above first. Reta is the common name and probably in use by the most people who mention this.

Presumptively, David would be the most correct. Collectively, he's the most incorrect.

But maybe it's just performative? I need to hear what the researchers are calling it.

The researchers that work for him?

Aside from when the press release came out and the social media buzz around the pronunciation, I've never heard anyone pronounce it like David.

Yes the guys actually doing the research on the drug itself, how are they pronouncing it. I know they are employed by Lilly but that doesn't mean they all pronounce thing the same. I understand this isn't relevant to anything but it's gonna bug me.

I am going to call it ret-a-true-tide. Idgaf how big pharma pronounces it. Even when it gets approval and the commercials come out and pronounce it differently. I still won't gaf.
