Possible noob question: is there a way to "split" vials?

So here's my situation: I'd prefer to buy from an EU warehouse, since I don't want to risk customs seizures or intercepted packages.

My dose is low right now, and TR40 is the only option on offer — far more than I need.

Is there a safe method of reconstituting it that would let me end up with two reconstituted vials: one for me, one for my girlfriend?

Might be a noob question again, but I really don't want to waste good peptides just because my dose is low and they'd sit around too long.

Thanks!

Yes, that works perfectly fine, particularly when you filter it like I would suggest. After reconstituting, draw it up in a 3ml syringe, connect a filter, and divide it equally between two sterile (and vented) vials.

That said, what exactly is your dosage? Tirz especially holds up well and remains good for 3 months in the refrigerator when mixed with BAC. Even at 2.5mg/wk, you would use up the majority of it. However, I would be somewhat more worried if you are using sterile water for injection rather than BAC, given that you are in the EU and that appears to be more typical there.

After mixing everything in a single vial, take a fresh sterile vial plus a new syringe and move 50% of the solution over. Sterile vials need to be purchased first—mine come from Amazon within the US. For most of us, a vial gets used well past the suggested 28-day mark. That means a 40 mg vial provides 16 shots (weeks) when each shot is 2.5 mg (cut in half if it's being shared). Frequently, before 26 weeks pass, your dose gets raised, which shortens that timeline. Whenever I keep a vial going that long, I check the contents closely prior to drawing from it. I'm looking for cloudiness or particles floating in it. A small flashlight is what I use for this. So far, nothing has turned up.

I got 3 kits of R60 so I could share with friends — my wife and I host our friends every Sunday, ever since Game of Thrones began, and if that's not airing we watch something else.

...So I convinced them to go in on enough Reta for the 4 of us to have a full year's supply.

I mix and filter 1 vial into a fresh vial, and that vial gets shared among us each Sunday.

To address what you asked: if they ever call off Sunday TV night, I'd take 1 vial and, right after reconstitution during filtering, divide it between 2 new vials. I picked up some 10ml syringes for that purpose, though 3ml would've sufficed — you just halve it.

Another option is buying pens for everyone, which would mean splitting that single R60 vial into 4 pen vials of 3ml each.

My recommendation: filter everything, no exceptions. Look up "peptide filtering" on youtube — it's simple, and adds only about a dollar each time you reconstitute.

If filtering isn't something you want to do, a standard u100 syringe works fine to pull out half and inject it into a new vial — no issue, as long as sterile vials are available to you. And give it roughly 20 mins post-reconstitution to, umm... reconstitute.

***Note: sourcing EU supplies is outside my knowledge, but I believe there's a section dedicated to that.

Does the same approach work with Reta, and what kind of shelf life does it have once refrigerated? Also, where do people source sterile vials stateside — is Amazon actually trustworthy for that?

Thanks!

@Throwfa in case you come across, or are already aware of, a European source for genuinely pharmaceutical‑grade sterile vials — ones you can trust both for sterility and for being particle‑free — would you mind sharing it with me? 🫶

The KS-Tek ones sold on Amazon fit that description. I've got some R140 on the way — it'll take a while — but once I reconstitute it, my plan is to divide it among vials. The exact amount is still up in the air.

Hey, thanks for pointing me toward that vial source.

Once the R140 has been filtered and mixed with Haspira Bac water, how many days can it stay in the fridge?

Thanks for the help!
