China orders taking 3+ weeks is pretty normal

From one vendor, I'm seeing 5 days between order and touchdown, shipped direct from China to the US.

That's quick, though it's outside the usual range.

Plenty can go wrong along the way, and I've seen deliveries stretch out far longer. Typically there's no reason to worry until 3 weeks have passed or more.

My initial try at buying came from a China warehouse, and customs seized it. Luckily, no letter arrived and my Global Entry stayed intact — that would have been a disaster for me. From that point on, I've only bought from US warehouses.

Monday I put in my first large order from China. It cleared Customs (Oakland) on Thursday, and on Friday at 11:47 AM it was delivered. Watching it clear customs was pretty exciting. That speed seems faster than it should have been. I also placed another order on Wednesday, and its tracking still shows it hasn't been picked up.

Honestly, I have no idea how they manage to do it.

What I'm curious about is whether the GB guy can keep this up with this particular vendor.

If that turns out to be the case, they'll leave their competition far behind.

They're using FedEx Express out of China as the shipping method, and it costs $45?

Congrats! I still haven’t bought anything from China, though I’ve used a few US sites before — and today I tried crypto for the first time .

Nice one! I came close to ordering today as well, but I began second-guessing myself and chose to wait a while longer. I want to get a better handle on filtering first and locate a testing group — I'm looking at KLOW and TESA.
