Hello everyone!

I'm a 68-year-old man, semi-retired — the office still sees me for 20hrs each week. For most of my life I've stayed active. These days it's mainly local walking and hiking, though earlier on I took on tougher outings. My weight and conditioning have gone through cycles of rising and falling. Usually I don't let it drift too far before pulling things back on track. Over the past 6 months, family health problems, limited time, and stress meant fitness got shelved. My weight climbed to 225lbs — the heaviest in 25 years. That number doesn't feel good. Being around 200-205lbs suits me better. For a GLP-1 program that may not sound like much, but this is where I'm starting....On top of that, recent bloodwork came back with elevated triglycerides, diabetes worries, and so on...After talking it over with my primary care doctor, I requested a tirzepatide prescription. My start was 5 weeks ago: 2.5mg for 4 weeks...then I moved up, 5mg for another 4......Appetite suppression seems to be working, and the side effects haven't been too rough. So that's my situation. Another unrelated board I visit led me to this site, and I figured I'd read through what's here to get a better handle on the GLP-1 landscape. Studious is one thing I am...😎 Looking forward to it...👍

Hi to another Phoenician. Before I started Reta, I hung around this place for a few weeks, reading and digging into things. At this point I'm looking into whether to bring in other peps. Wishing you the best.
