My flush runs to roughly 20u through the 13mm. I've got an enormous pile of the cheap 1ml syringes off Amazon, so a wee bit going missing doesn't bother me,

With the tirz, my approach would be to combine a minimum of 3 vials. Low-mg peps don't come up much in my own routine, so measuring doses out is exactly the job you said you'd be taking on. What does the TB500 protocol look like in terms of how often and how long, for you? Could several of those go in together as well?deluge said:
With the rest of you on this one. Either way it's a tiny amount, as long as you're taking some step to counter the hold-back. That said, anyone stocking up on filters for the very first time would do well to go with the 4mm provided the 3ml claims hold up, and plenty of people have said they do.
I'll know soon enough.
As my dosages have crept upward, more of my 'tides end up mixed with under 3ml anyway. Take 10mg of TB500 - you wouldn't want to use 3ml for that unless pinning 60 units for a 2mg dose is your idea of fun. Same story with the 60mg Tirz vials dosed at 15mg/6D. 75clicks? No chance...
That's another solid way to cut those losses.fetefille said:

My syringe is a 5mL luer, and each vial gets just 1mL of bac, giving 3mL in total. Everything comes out of the vials together, the filter goes on, and the rest needs no explaining.deluge said:

I'd been meaning to raise something along these lines in the earlier filtering threads. Doing several vials at the same time spreads the cost of the extra needles around; re-using the same filter when the product is identical hadn't occurred to me, though it clearly works.
The explanation was already sitting in the part of my reply you left out. Ordinary peptide hobbyists only ever heard about 4mm filters, and only started buying them, because the peptide-testing grifter landed a bargain on a big batch and set about turning them into the next must-have so he could profit - all while everyone with real experience was running 13mm and 25mm.tcpnomad said:
Any chance you'd explain the reasoning? Isn't their holdback smaller? Or is the argument that once you purge properly, the gap between them stops mattering?ZippityDooDah said:
The whole 4mm thing is nonsense. They barely existed at all until that peptide-testing character stumbled on a pallet of them gathering dust in some warehouse for next to nothing, and then started telling everyone they were the perfect filter for peptides - purely so he could pocket something close to 1000% on every single one.
haha - fair, disliking the fact that somebody turned a profit on a deal isn't really a solid argument on its own. Unless spite counts as one. Perhaps it doesZippityDooDah said:

A 4mm filter is built for 1ml glass ampoules. It simply does not have the surface area to push larger volumes through cleanly, and the back-pressure and blowout risk climbs as a result - a combination that spells trouble for anyone who isn't an experienced hand at filtering.
It's the same as dosing described in "units" rather than mg/ml: when somebody claims they filter fine with a 4mm, what they are really telling you is "I have no idea what I'm doing".
What's the reasoning behind dosing in mg/ml? Does anyone really need both my concentration and the mass I take each day, week, or whenever, before they can properly understand my dose?ZippityDooDah said:

What I took from it is that he's aiming at the folks asking for advice with a line like 'taking 20 units/week at the moment' or words to that effect. Told on its own, 20 units means nothing; you also have to know the mg/ml in the vial.deluge said:

That's right, I did. Plenty of people have reported 3-4ml going through without problems, and plenty have reported the opposite. Many of the 4mm on sale even claim up to 4ml. So I ordered some to find out for myself.Torque said:
