Hello everyone, I'm Athena, writing from Berlin in Germany. At 49, perimenopause has me firmly in its grip — the added weight included. Bioidentical hormones are something I have a prescription for, and thanks to them my cycle is more stable. Still, I keep asking myself whether there is anything else I could try in order to shed some belly fat, build more strength and lift my mood? Peptides are completely new territory for me. So I have no idea how any of this works. My hope is that being part of this community will point me in the right direction? Lovely to meet all of you! Any kind guidance would mean a lot. 🥰

Hey Athena, glad you're here! 🥰 I'm in the same boat as a newcomer to this community, though peptides are something I've been researching and taking for some time.

When my mother went through menopause, she dealt with much the same problems — weight that just wouldn't budge and hot flashes happening often. Her doctor had put her on a few different treatments already, but sadly, not one of them really changed things for her.

In the end she gave retatrutide a try, and it helped shift those stubborn kilos that had been so hard to lose. What's interesting is that while she was on it, her hot flashes and other mood-related troubles went away too.

Peptides are a big topic with plenty to learn, so go at your own pace, ask as many questions as you like, and stay cautious around anyone who claims results will be instant or guaranteed.

Hey! I appreciate the info you shared. That's really fascinating! To me, (Peri)menopause seems like a domain with so little known or researched... There's still a great deal left to uncover!

We are in the same boat. Both HRT & glp-1 look to be helping me enormously. Days where I actually have energy to get things done, and my family appreciates the drop in bitchiness too. 😆

Ha! That resonates with me! I'll look into it! Thanks!

Hey @AthenaBerlin! Stubborn perimenopause weight gain brought me here too — so frustrating. I've started researching reta for this; from what I can tell, my liver fat went up and that's made losing fat harder. Reta is meant to address that. Hopefully you'll come across helpful information on this site!
