A federal judge handed the owner of a peptide company almost six years behind bars, finding that the business lied to buyers and sold goods cut with steroids.

They just can't help themselves. This is not a story about a peptide vendor going to jail; it is a story about a vendor selling SARMs and mislabeled testosterone 'supplements'. What put him in front of a judge was selling and lying about steriods and SARMs, not the peptides. The peptide side of the business barely features in the charges. Sure, peptides are in the company name, but they are not what he went down for.

Fair enough, Piper went down for misbranding and illegally importing/selling drugs rather than for selling "peptides" alone ....All the same, peptide medications were among those drugs, and federal prosecutors name sema and tirz in particular as part of the criminal conduct.

This is the government's own wording​#-what-the-government-actually-said Per the U.S. Department of Justice:

-Piper was involved in importing misbranded, unapproved prescription drugs from China, peptides included.

-Items were marketed as "for research purposes only", though the sellers allegedly knew buyers were using them personally.

-Many of the products falsely claimed to be "Product of the USA."

-Semaglutide and tirzepatide are singled out by the government as examples of drugs sold without prescriptions and without the required FDA labeling and boxed warnings.

SARM and anabolic steroids of any kind WILL throw your body off to some degree and call for proper ancillary care and blood work.

Picture running a peptide to sort out your skin, then discovering it had been wrecking your hypothalamus axis, your liver (orals can be especially harmful), your kidney, your heart, your balls, your thyroid and your blood lipid.

What gets overlooked every time one of these domestic vendors is raided and shut down (even if there's never any final disposition in court) is this: the folks who prize a domestic source that takes their precious plastic don't seem to realise the authorities walk away with that vendor's entire customer list, plus the products ordered, email communications, etc.

Yep, having a clearance revoked brings a career to a screeching halt, and the knock-on effects ripple through the lives of an entire family.
