Hey everyone, I'm hoping to hear from people who have PCOS and have taken Tirz and/or Reta — any personal stories or tips would be great.

My girlfriend has PCOS. She's been using Reta for several months and is now at 6 mg/week, but the weight is coming off pretty slowly — roughly 10 lbs in total so far.

After looking into it, she came across some talk suggesting that for certain people with PCOS, Tirz might be the better option early on. So we're trying to find out whether anyone has had luck beginning with Tirz and then moving over to Reta after weight loss stalls, or perhaps running both at the same time.

If you have PCOS, have you gone either route? I'd like to know what worked in your case and if making a switch produced a clear difference.

I've got PCOS and tried both. For me, Reta gave better results, though it only kicked in once I hit 8mg. Consider increasing the dose monthly, up to 12mg. PCOS is a metabolic condition—it's even been given the new name PMOS. It's recognized that those with metabolic issues such as PCOS or diabetes see major health benefits from all glp medications, but typically shed pounds at a much slower pace compared to people without metabolic problems.

For Tirz, dosing every 4 days is what you want. Since its 1/2 life runs 4-5 days, more frequent dosing ought to get things moving past the stall.

my wife deals with pcos...pmos from what i understand (that term is new to me) and her periods only came around 1-2 times per year. when we decided to try for a baby, testing showed i had my own problems that had to be addressed, so i spent about a year working on that while also trying to sync up with her rare cycles. after i got myself into the best shape i could, she began compounded tirz (this was prior to me discovering the grey market) and her cycle returned almost right away, and roughly 4 months later she was pregnant. now that our son is here, she's using my grey tirz again and her cycle is back to monthly like clockwork

Over time, my belief is that Reta justifies the wait. Appetite suppression comes slower than with tirz, yet it supports keeping muscle and burning more energy. For PMOS, those benefits pay off down the road.
