Pausing reta for 3 weeks

Hi everyone,

I'm about to leave for a 3-week trip to Peru, where I'll be doing a lot of hiking with limited access to refrigeration.

I was planning to bring a reconstituted retatrutide vial (10mg) so I can inject twice during the trip. I understand that reta becomes unstable after 14 days without refrigeration, and I'm also a bit nervous about traveling with syringes.

I've been using reta since February with amazing results, and I'm wondering what to expect if I stop cold turkey for 3 weeks. Has anyone here had a similar experience?

If you're gonna be walking a lot I wouldn't even stress about it. As far as I know reta aint like the usual addictive drug or nicotine where you struggle when you stop cold turkey. I've known people on GLPs take a few weeks off and be perfectly fine. Its not like you're going to Peru to just indulge in food anyways. If you were going to an all inclusive resort then you might wanna worry about it.
 
What is your current dose? How often do you take it?

After 3 weeks, about one-eighth (12%) of the stacked dose will remain in your bloodstream.

It might be a little more or a little less because the half-life varies from person to person, but it won't drop to zero.

I'm currently on 4mg/week
 
Sorry for hijacking this post but I'm in a similar position with my Tirz. Going to a place where you don't want to be caught with mysterious powder and syringes and needles but my solution is to bring a mounjaro pen that I still have prescribed with a doctor's note. I just need to figure out which dose I should bring and the whole hassle with a prefilled pen and tropical heat.

Or as it's just 17 days I could just not bring any and there would be no hassle at all. But what's the fun in that? 😂

In my experience, foreign prescriptions and doctor's notes may not mean much internationally. Certainly depends on where you're going, but authorities in other countries don't have any obligation to accept your doctor's paperwork.

Yes that is very true. I'm going to look in to it with my doctor and the embassy and off course my best friend AI but just not taking it for 17 days is the best and easiest way.
