Aloha,

A small Pacific island is home, and my mid-40s are here. Father of two, a first responder, and jiu-jitsu plus CrossFit keep me moving. The usual challenges—diet, alcohol, sleep, and simply staying healthy enough to keep up with my kids—are things I'm working through too, as so many people are.

GLP-1 medications were my research subject a while back, which pulled me into the wider rabbit hole of peptides and clinical trials. Compounded tirzepatide was the initial plan, yet a clinical trial got enrolled in shortly after, and about the last year has been spent participating. Semaglutide (Wegovy) sits in the trial along with another investigational compound, and the results overall have been very positive.

With the study period winding down, what options make sense going forward is something I'm looking at, particularly given that my insurance doesn't cover these medications.

Learning is the main purpose of my being here. The GLP-1 and peptide space holds a huge amount of information, and understanding the science, the differences between compounds, and how people think about things like tirzepatide vs retatrutide interests me.

Methodically is also how I want to approach it—starting simple and learning before anything new gets tried. The peptide world is fascinating, and definitely a deep rabbit hole.

Learning from the community is what I'm looking forward to.

Mahalo!
