I'm not MAGA — I'm a Libertarian. And one thing Libertarians really don't tolerate is people being locked up over holding an opinion.

Still, nice work doing your best fascist impression by guessing what my politics are.

Libertarians also get seriously annoyed when the government steps in to stop us from doing what we choose. For example, improving ourselves by buying Peptides, and plenty else.

Online activity does not exist outside the law. Anyone who defames others or circulates hate speech through the internet ought to face consequences. In Europe, that does occasionally occur. It does not happen frequently enough. Within the US, right wing organisations cry for free speech where their own interests are at stake, yet call for punishment of others the moment it suits them (Charlie Kirk springs to mind, along with the push to imprison everyone who voiced opinions online). The same thing occurs in Europe too, though it follows legal rules rather than political mood (with the exception of countries leaning right). And please, do release the epstein files and put behind bars every person involved, regardless of party or nation.

This happens to be a subject I have some real familiarity with!

While attending a conference, I spoke with one of the researchers involved in this work. The short version: a specific kind of ecoli residing in the gut is capable of generating molecules that make their way up the vagus nerve and get past the brain blood barrier, which leads proteins inside the brain to fold the wrong way, and that plays a part in bringing about Parkinson's.

The trouble is that the gut micrbiome is incredibly complex and we don't yet have a full picture of it. You might come across talk of 'good' and 'bad' bacteria online, but the reality is more nuanced — how each kind of bacteria affects the body depends on the diversity and the concentrations present. This is a really thrilling research area, and we're applying AI to build better models and cluster the various micro biome populations we observe, by projecting the high dimensional space down into a lower dimensional embeddings space. With luck, down the road we'll be able to put this knowledge to use for future treatment. One thing is certain: we need far more research into how GLP1s shift the population, to find out whether we can manipulate it.

What a fascinating article—it was especially valuable to see GLP-1 treatments for disease discussed alongside both the wins and the setbacks.

Fingers crossed that tirz can lower risk & reverse some of the damage I've inflicted on myself!😅
