In a retrospective analysis, a novel physiologic subtype turned up in more than 1 in 4 adults with obesity: fast gastric emptying, postmeal GLP‑1 levels sitting discordantly low, and greater hunger after eating. Weight loss among participants carrying this subphenotype came in at nearly double that seen in other obesity phenotypes after 6 months on tirzepatide.
