Novo Nordisk, Hims reach agreement on Wegovy and Ozempic sales; lawsuit withdrawn

COPENHAGEN, March 9 (Reuters) - The Danish drugmaker Novo Nordisk announced on Monday that it will offer its top-selling Wegovy and Ozempic treatments via the platform of U.S. telehealth firm Hims & Hers (HIMS.N), opens new tab, bringing to a close a legal battle that broke out last month.

This agreement reverses the situation from February, when Novo filed suit against Hims over a $49 compounded version of its Wegovy weight-loss pill.

There was an oral option priced at $49, then a lawsuit followed, an agreement got signed, and now prices have returned to retail levels. The only party left worse off is the buyer, who gets the short end once more. That is, unless you picked up the stock at its lowest point.

Here we go with big pharma once more honestly, by the time generic Semaglutide becomes available, a 1-month supply will likely cost under $100

From what I can tell, telehealth services and companies following the Hims & Hers playbook are stepping in to cover that need. You complete a questionnaire or respond to a few prompts, a physician reviews it, and then your peptides arrive. Or at minimum, one of the compounds they reclassify. Everything else in the grey market remains a free-for-all.
