Hi there, I'm a guy from Canada, 31 years old, and I've never taken any of these types of medications. I saw that in Canada this year, semaglutide will become legally available as a generic, and without insurance the monthly cost is expected to fall under $100. I've got a stubborn weight issue, so I've been thinking about giving one of these drugs a shot, and my plan was just to hold off until some online clinic started offering these new generics cheaply. It then hit me that I'd been on similar forums before when looking into other drugs, and that's how I ended up here. So, hey everybody!

At 5'11" and 255lbs, I'm in the gym on a regular basis and have been for most of my grown-up years, though my consistency has had its ups and downs. The heaviest I've been was around 295lbs, and by watching what I eat and working out, I've kept it near 250lbs with roughly 30% bodyfat. Compared to most people, I'd say I'm a lot more active—I do weight training several times a week and plenty of zone 2 cardio, usually more than 4 hrs weekly. The problem is that any time I attempt a "cut" to shed that last bit of fat, sticking to a diet is really tough. I end up with serious tiredness and mental fuzziness, I'm chilly and easily annoyed, and sleeping becomes difficult. So before long, I quit the weight loss effort.

From what I gather, these medications mainly work by reducing hunger, so my hope is that they'll give me enough of a push to reach a better body composition. Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks
