Hey all,

Finding a community like this one—where GLP and other peptides can be talked about safely and effectively—has me genuinely excited. Perimenopause is what brought me here: no matter how much I lifted or how clean my diet was (whole foods, consistent deficit), the scale wouldn't budge, and my bloodwork kept scoring high in every category I didn't want (insulin resistance, I'm looking at you). Metformin made no difference, so I moved on to the stronger option (ret), then added NAD+, and now I'm here to keep digging into how to help my body flourish.

Girl, I get it. Perimenopause hit me nearly 2 years back, and even with HRT & TRT, serious lifting, and long-distance hikes, that subcutaneous fat layer drives me nuts. For more than a year I've been attempting a cut without any luck, but the last 3 weeks on reta (1mg, divided into two 0.5mg doses) have completely turned things around. Fingers crossed it goes well for you!

Up to this point, things are going well! The outcomes I've gotten already make me happy. Since my macros are in a good place, I wasn't looking for strong appetite suppression, and up to now I've managed to eat the right amounts. I'm holding onto a mistaken idea that my glutes will stay. 🤞

HRT works great, but paired with glp +, the results are on another level. A year ago, peri was really getting the better of me. Now, I feel like I am managing just fine.

I haven’t reached the HRT stage yet, but it’s reassuring to know there’s hope. I really wish this had been taught in school, lol

We get so little education on this subject. It's a relief that things are finally starting to shift. I feel for the women of my mom's era—they were simply expected to endure it quietly, left feeling isolated and embarrassed about what was happening to their bodies.

Things still aren't ideal, but they've come a long way. ❤️

Hello and thanks for the warm welcome. Perimenopause hasn't hit me yet, though I can feel it getting closer, and I'm eager to know how reta works for someone in that stage. I'm also thinking about adding NAD+ down the road, but when it comes to peptides I'm still green… what has your experience with NAD+ been like up to now?

I've spent roughly a year on MJ, and unfortunately my glutes have vanished - definitely a rough situation. I don't have any advice to offer, but I'm sending plenty of encouragement to do whatever it takes to hold onto those glutes!!

Thanks! I'm 2 weeks into it and my energy has skyrocketed. The brain fog has lifted too. To be honest, that might just be because the Reta is working really well for me and I'm buzzing with excitement, but I suspect I'm a fan of NAD+. I'll evaluate again after 1 month on it.

I'm a 62-year-old man, once an athlete, and I'm also navigating the GLP path. I saw my wife endure this whole ordeal, and wow. There's a ton I could share and countless reflections. It's hard to compress it into a short warning. Basically, she chose the wrong path and wound up in retirement overweight, weak, and dealing with serious osteoporosis, nonstop fractures, and operations. She had every tool and bit of knowledge available, yet she quit HRT after 2 years, steered clear of protein completely, turned inactive, and decay took over.

I face my own major health struggles. I confront them directly with commitment. Retatrutide has been an absolute blessing for me.

Wishing you success as you move forward! My spouse is dealing with the same situation, which is part of why I joined. Personally, I use Reta, Mots-c, 5 amino-1q, and Ipa/CJC. I've been encouraging her to consider Reta along with mitochondrial support. Since she's on HRT, she worries that Reta might slow gastric motility and lower Progesterone absorption. I'm here to gain knowledge for myself too!

Instead, suggest she use vaginal progesterone. It still safeguards the lining, and you don't have to stress about absorption.

My RS follows a comparable stack as well (Tirz, Mots-c, 5 amino-1q, Ipa/CJC, and NAD). Results have been positive.. Over a 6 month period, my RS has shed 15lbs and looks visibly leaner.

It's surprising to learn how many benefits NAD+ offers. I've come across a lot of positive feedback about it, so I may need to put it on my list as well.

Appreciate the details!!

Seriously, this is me too! Tirz has worked well in my case, and now I'm considering adding Reta into the mix. NAD+ gave me nothing, though I can't say for sure my dosing was right. As far as the prescriber goes, it looks like they're doing the complete reverse of every protocol I come across in this space.

Wishing every one of us the ability to get this chaos under control, so we can enjoy the strongest health during the best years of our lives!

I'm 45 and also in perimenopause. Thanks to Reta, I dropped 20lb and simply feel improved. With the fat off, my muscles are finally visible. Lol. A 12 day break slowed my progress somewhat, but I've returned to my routine!
