Hey everyone,

I've been lurking here for ages but this is my first time posting. For years I've considered using a GLP for both weight loss and insulin resistance. Many folks in the USA have insurance plans with absurdly high deductibles, and I'm one of them. As it happens, getting meds through the gray/black market ends up being exponentially less expensive. The upside is that it showed me just how many peptides are available. I have to say, I'm genuinely excited to give some of them a try.

Wish me luck...

I get the insurance struggle. Looking back, I wish I'd looked into gray the moment I first heard about it. I went the compounding route — the cost is manageable — yet it doesn't come close to gray. Wishing you the best.

My T2D diagnosis came in Feb 2023, and I began treatment with Sema. It did the job of bringing my A1C down from extremely high numbers. Then my job changed, which meant new insurance, and that plan somehow wouldn't pay for Sema but would pay for Tirz. On Tirz I saw stronger appetite suppression and better weight loss than I had on Sema. After that, I lost the insurance and went several months without it, and my A1C climbed right back up. That was partly because I wasn't disciplined about food and wasn't following any diet or exercise routine. Eventually I sorted myself out and moved to compounded, which, as other people have said, was affordable enough but still nowhere near grey. I gave grey a try and I can't see myself returning to compounded. Now my diet and exercise are structured, my A1C and other labs are under control, and Tirz is still producing results.

There is a huge amount of material here, and I've also found the vendor information on this site useful.

Welcome to the forums. Good luck on your Tirz journey!
