New to the Community and Starting GLP-1

Hi all, I'm based in the US. After doing more research on glp1, I finally went for it and gave myself my first semaglutide shot this week. Now I want to understand it better. My weight has been an issue for the past 5 years, so I've joined to pick up more knowledge about glp1 and how to take it, to ask things I'm unsure about, and hopefully to meet people I can chat with and learn from.

That comes in handy if you ever decide you want something besides the brand-name Ozempic or the compounded, pre-constituted semaglutide.

Mind if I ask what's behind the 5-year struggle? Could it have been peri- or menopause? Some kind of injury? Something nobody could pin down? Food noise that showed up out of nowhere?

Either way, I appreciate you introducing yourself, and I hope you find everything you're looking for : )

I think my reply got removed for breaking a rule I'm trying to keep in mind, but I'm still getting the hang of things

Appreciate the warm welcome! I came aboard after noticing it mentioned repeatedly, so my hope is to pick up more knowledge about glp1 in this space.

My guess is perimenopause plus lifestyle, though after seeing so many positive outcomes I chose to give it a shot
 
Simply by quietly going through the posts, I have picked up a great deal already! I really appreciate everyone! This is all new to me as well, and I could use every bit of information available!

Same here, I enjoy checking out what people share, there's a ton of info, and that's awesome!
