I'm 61 and got fed up with the weight cycling plus the medications I was on for diabetes, cholesterol, and the CPAP machine. What caught my attention were the trial results for Reta, particularly around fatty liver. After a lot of reading I came across the grey market. I put everything together after plenty of research. Studying comes easily to me since I was formerly in the Nuclear Navy.
I began about 5 weeks ago on 5/18/26, right after a cruise. The first 2 weeks were at 1mg, and the last 3 shots have been 2mg. Around the same time I restarted working out, doing walking and rowing. I'd bought a Wyze Body Scan scale some time earlier and began weighing in daily.
I believe I'm a super responder. My starting weight was 309, and today it's 286 after 5 weeks. That works out to 24lb of fat lost, with muscle being built mostly in the legs and a bit in the arms.
Food noise is largely gone. I eat healthy, getting 150-200 grams of protein daily. I also take some vitamins, magnesium, and D. Eating well is simple for me. I get full faster. At times I have to push myself to eat.
After exercise my blood sugar was dropping into the 70s, so I quit the Metformin and jardiance. For the past 2 weeks my morning blood sugar has been 89-103 and never above 115.
My goal is to get down to 210, which is where I was at 20 in the Navy. Along with that, I want to ditch the CPAP and all the other pills and problems. It looks achievable. I realize this could be something long term, and that's fine with me.
