New member introduction

I appreciate your response. Typing with just 1 finger makes me rather slow, and I'm somewhat hopeless with computers lol. A welcome to you too — I'm glad to be part of this and hope I don't slip up and end up removed.

A real introduction this time. I'm an older guy who has never posted in threads or chat groups before. Last August, someone in my family convinced me to give Reta a try. I walked away from a PCP who was useless and wouldn't write me a glp script. He threw around terms like obesity, hypertension, pre-diabetes, and so on. I weighed 236lbs. I was headed toward serious health problems. I turned down all the various drugs he kept pushing on me and decided to take charge of my own health. With guidance from a kind and knowledgeable person, I began TRT, and I started Reta. After reaching my goal of 185lbs, I began going to the gym, raised my T a little, and I feel good. As for Reta dosing, I stuck to the instructions, but I remained at half dose for months and still lost 4lbs. a week through diet alone, which gave great results. Now I'm at 180lbs since I also increased Reta a little. Looking into everything glp-related has been enjoyable yet draining at the same time. My hope is to soak up as much as I can from the generous people on this forum, like a sponge, and perhaps make some friends along the way.

I was

Today I looked into a certain lab.

Testing they offer to the public comes at no charge. Endo testing, though, costs money, and heavy metals also carry a fee. So is it really free?? The no-cost group holds 15 items, while the paid group has 61. Peptides aren't the only things in there. The company is based in Texas yet relies on 2 labs that they name. What I appreciate is being able to select a vendor and check whether the one you use shows solid results. Alternatively, pick a product and view only the data from every sample of it, say Reta alone. That's useful knowledge right at our fingertips.

I needed to go back over the rules for this place. Some things had to be removed so the post would go through. Even so, compared with a few other sites I've looked at, this one comes across as much friendlier. There's still a lot for me to pick up, so I'll keep more of it in mind as I continue.

Glad to have you here, and what a great beginning!! Things will only improve from this point 🙂

When we look to our doctors for answers and support, getting so little back can really wear you down. Researching on my own is something I enjoy, yet having a professional around to exchange thoughts with would be a real plus. The scope of the peptide field is completely off my doc's radar. Right now I'm coming off an anti-anxiety medication, and the withdrawal effects are terrible. I brought up Selank as something I'd heard could possibly help, but he showed zero curiosity and just carried on as if I hadn't spoken at all.

Reta is a fantastic peptide! Tirz has been what I'm on, but I'm making the switch to Reta. A plateau has hit, and for these last 15 lbs I need something extra.

Best of luck with your journey. Ever since I came across this forum, it's easily the top place for information.

Wishing you success too. That man nearly took my wife's life because of a cholesterol drug. The two of us walked away. What I tell people is: forget those stuck-up doctors. These days we each see separate nurse practitioners, and we couldn't be happier. They are fantastic — willing to consider anything and they truly hear what you say. A lot of people in my circle are making the same choice. I appreciate your perspective. Stay watchful.

It seems you've made quite a bit of progress!

Yeah gommer, I appreciate this post. At 60 years old, I'm still picking things up—it's never too late. That's the quiet charm of this place. Folks of every background, age and ability level. Enjoy the journey.
