Hey everyone -

I've been lurking around here for a bit, but decided it was finally time to say something.

My weight was never low - usually somewhere around 250-280ish - but after I recovered from cancer surgery and dealt with some really bad seizures, it shot up to about 325.

Eventually I got fed up with it, and I was fortunate that insurance would cover Zepbound, so I began in fall 2024. The pens were what I used at first, but I noticed a lot of yo-yo up and down with them. I worked up to 10mg.

In early spring of 2025 my insurance stopped covering Zepbound, so I switched to paying myself, but moved over to the vials. I went to smaller daily doses and that was a big improvement - no more of that once weekly up and down feeling. By Sept of 2025, I figure I was around 250, but paying out of pocket for Zepbound was no longer possible.

That's when I came across Reta and began using it. I still had some Zep left and ran it alongside at lower doses for a month or two before raising Reta. Went from 1 to 2 to 4 to 5 to 6 spread out as daily shots.

As of last month I was down to about 210, but I stopped using it. A few pounds have come back, up to 220, but compared to where I was I still feel great, though I'd like to reach about 180-190.

Sleep apnea has improved, anxiety has improved, and I can walk, exercise, and simply do more now after everything.

And my cancer has stayed stable over the past few years - so no complaints from me! People think I'm sick because I've lost so much weight, so I have to tell them no, everything is fine on that front!

I just want to keep getting better and I'm always trying to stay current on what's happening out there. The forums look great here.

Thanks for having me and sorry for the long post!

Nice job!

Seeing this motivates me. In terms of weight, my story is a lot like this. My goal is to land somewhere between 200 and 220, though. It has been more than 20 years since I was anywhere near that, but I am fed up with feeling exhausted and unwell.

I have been hitting the gym hard, and I noticed that the harder I went, the more food I consumed, and the scale refused to budge the way it used to when I was younger (no movement at all). Got on the peptide bandwagon, and I am hoping for results that mirror yours.

Nice work on dropping that weight — that's amazing for you. I've come across plenty of talk regarding Reta, but unfortunately building muscle is tougher for me, so that's absolutely something I do NOT need 😭

Great job, and keep it going — cancer can go to hell. 🙏

I appreciate all of you. It's a real wake-up call that life doesn't last forever, so you'd better make the most of it. That's the reason I'm here: I'm done putting up with this crap. Feeling better and actually living are what I want, and looking after myself more is how I get there.
