Hey all,

I'm a 34-year-old man living in the U.S. For a few years now I've been lifting weights and keeping my diet on track, but lately my fat loss has come to a halt.

At 5'11" (180 cm) and roughly 225 lbs (102 kg), even with regular training, things have basically stopped moving.

I've been looking into GLP-1s and other peptides, and I'm considering trying them out.

For those with experience, how long did it take before you started seeing results? Any stories or advice for a beginner would be great to hear.

Thanks, and happy to be part of this!

Hello everyone! For 8 weeks I used the smallest dose of Tirzepatide to shed a few extra kilos. Within roughly 2-3 days of my first injection, both hunger and appetite were gone. It was hard for me to believe. Each week I dropped 0.5 kg. For context, I’m a 30-year-old woman, standing only 160 cm, and at that point I weighed 68 kg..(I realize that isn’t a huge amount of excess weight, but it was still overweight combined with a very unhealthy diet). I love food and simply cannot resist snacks, pastries, chips, pizza, pasta, fries. 🥲 my sugar and kolesterol levels were too high and I’m not an active person. Never going to the gym. During the time I was on it, my mood improved a lot and I somehow had more energy (not strength). However, the downside for me was that I also lost muscle mass over that period, because my protein intake was too low.

At the same time, my sister in law, who is 167 cm and weighed 90 kg, noticed little difference on either Semaglutide or Tirzepatide. She was still able to eat a normal plate and felt hungry.

My husband though, who doesn’t work out, also tried Tirzepatide and he experienced appetite suppression! He is 180 cm and weighed 102 kg. His dose was double mine.

In my case, the results arrived quickly! But I didn’t need to keep taking it any longer. Also, by the end I developed anxiety, so I stopped.

I’ve been on Reta for 1 month now. Since I’m a big guy with a lot of weight to lose, I moved my dose up faster than most people would recommend. At this point I’m taking 4mg every 6 days. So far I’ve dropped more than 17 pounds.

Hi there, glad to have you 👋

I was wondering — do you currently take anything, or are you still exploring options?
Hey, I appreciate the welcome.

At this point I’m only reading up and gathering information, nothing started so far.

I just want to get a sense of what people actually go through before I figure out what would work for me.

Thank you for laying out your experience in that much detail.

It stands out to me how much variation there can be from one person to another, even when they live together.

The topic of losing muscle has come up in what I’ve read as well, so it’s clearly worth keeping an eye on.

I appreciate the perspective you’ve provided!

That's a solid result — dropping 17 lbs over a single month is no small feat.

Titration speed seems to draw very different opinions from person to person, so it's helpful to hear how others go about it.

Thanks for laying out what worked for you!

Hey, good to meet you — sounds like our stats line up pretty closely. I'm a 33-year-old male, also 5'11. My starting weight was 233, and I'd been stalled at that number for a while, which totally drained my motivation to lift or work out.

For me, tirz at 2.5 was the starting point and I never went back down. Month 1 I dropped 13 pounds, with 3 of those coming in week 1. Food noise hit me hard, and after that very first pin it basically vanished overnight. That gave me a real spark of optimism, so I got back into training, which ended up accelerating the fat loss even more. My strength has held steady and I returned to my old numbers fast.

I also threw semax and tesa into the mix. There's a ton to pick up, but the peptide knowledge and firsthand stories shared by folks in here are excellent. I bumped my tirz up to 5mg as well to get the food noise under control — the tesa did bring a bit of hunger back.

Many folks begin with .5mg so that unpleasant side effects are less likely. For me, there haven’t been any. And when you check the actual clinical trials, every participant is started at 2mg regardless. Going below that isn’t necessary.

Thanks for telling me about your experience—it sounds like things have gone really well for you.

It's intriguing that the appetite suppression came on so fast in your case, and that you managed to resume training so soon.

As for me, I'm still figuring things out, so hearing how responses differ across doses and timeframes is genuinely useful.

Since reactions seem to differ a lot between individuals, I’m simply hoping to hear a range of experiences before I settle on a view.

Thanks for sharing your take!

In my case, roughly 2 days passed before I noticed any real change beyond the hunger reduction, which came on surprisingly fast — within about 2-3 hours. By the end of week 2, I could actually see results. My honest recommendation would be to ease in gradually and log what you eat, since it's surprisingly easy to go an entire day without realizing you haven't eaten.

It really does sound like you're getting great results—appreciate you posting this, it's genuinely useful to hear how it went for you.

That bit about "forgetting to eat" is also something I've come across before, and I have to admit it's still a little tough for me to wrap my head around haha.

Still, your tips are clearly helpful. Thanks once more!
