Hi all, I'm a fresh lurker based in rhode island.

I just escaped what has to be the most stressful relationship imaginable, 5 years long. The aftermath: I let myself go and developed a drinking problem, which piled on a metric ton of stubborn visceral fat. Now I look like a strangely muscular barrel (I still hit the gym 3 times a week). My hope is that stacking reta, mot-c, and or tesamorelin can knock that down fast. Sure, I've been losing weight since getting out, but a boost would be welcome.

Anyway, happy to be here and I hope to add something more meaningful down the road.

Reta update from my little experiment

Wednesday around 10 in the morning I took my very first 1 mg dose, using a ty**s vial of reta. That was 3 days back now.

Nothing hit me that first day.

Then came the next day and that night:

Heartburn so bad it jerked me awake 2 times, plus I threw up in the morning once the nausea had been rolling for a few hours.

Right away that day my hunger was gone. My shift starts at 3 am, and normally by 7 or 8 I'd have made 2 stops (trucker here) and put away 3 breakfast sandwiches.

That day I didn't touch food until 7 pm, and even then it was only a few bites of ribeye with some rice.

Drinking hasn't stopped yet, but the urge has faded. Alcohol definitely doesn't land the same way anymore, and I've already trimmed it by about 3 drinks a day, down from something like 7-8.

Honestly the whole thing reminds me of being 7 and put on adderal - never hungry, but never low on energy either.

No scale yet, since 4-5 days feels like a pointless measuring point. Just wanted to give you all an update on where things stand and how I'm feeling.

This is a marathon, not a sprint, so pace yourself. Reta is a solid pick to help you along. Cravings for both food and alcohol will fade. Pay attention to what your body tells you. It's signaling that it wants less food and alcohol, yet your mind is still stuck in the old routine of eating and drinking. When your brain and body are out of sync like that, you end up with heartburn, nausea, and other GI issues. Your brain just needs time to catch up.

Any real changes won't show up before week 2 is over.. Believe me, you'll be glad you stuck with it

Quick check-in, sitting at the middle of week 3

Dose is now 2mg

Weighed in at 215 before, and I'm 12 pounds lighter now

That said, my appetite is still completely gone — most days I'll nibble on something small just once, plus a protein shake and a Celsius.

One other thing

When you all first looked up your vendor on Finnrisk, did your heart just about explode or was that only me

Mine shot straight into my throat when I saw a huge D staring back at me.

ALL BECAUSE THEY HOOK YOU UP WITH EXTRA???

honestly that dude is out here trying to give me a stroke, i swear.

If purity and fill level were rated separately, first glance probably wouldn't be nearly as terrifying lmao

Now at week 7

My dose has climbed to 6mg

The scale reads 181

A less common side effect hit me: allodynia. Christ, it's irritating — even my shirt brushing my stomach or my pants grazing my thighs feels as though every hair is being ripped off with duct tape. Really unpleasant. Wishing everyone here the best
