Hey all. I've just begun microdosing Tirz for PMDD and perimenopause symptom relief. Only 4 days have passed since my first dose, and whether it's placebo or real, I'm feeling great.

Excited to pick up knowledge from this group!

Hello — it's certainly not down to placebo. A year on Mounjaro wiped out my PMDD, and I only grasped how much it was doing once I stopped and the PMDD returned 😟

Good to have you here 🤗

Great! It's wild how many conditions these medications seem to benefit. Yesterday I came across a thread where someone was taking Reta to cut down on alcohol cravings.

Glad you're here. What Triz dose are you on that counts as micro?

Hey! My starting point was only .5mg, mainly to check that nothing bad would happen. I plan on raising it to 1mg this week. From what I've seen, a lot of women dealing with PMDD do best on 1-1.25mg Tirz.

I'd really like to know what Tirz does for your PMDD! PMDD is something I deal with too, and being able to manage it without birth control pills would be amazing. Yasmin caused me to develop CKD, yet nothing else has eased my PMDD, so I've felt trapped. Wishing you the best on your journey!

Hey there, and welcome aboard! Perimenopause is a real pain in the ass, isn't it?! I'm 48, and I began taking tirz in Jan 2025 — the change it brought was massive. Sadly, over the past few months hot flashes have kicked in. At first I figured it was food poisoning or something similar, since the sweating felt exactly like what happens right before I throw up… then it just stopped! My mom didn't get flashes until much later in life than I did, so I joke that I'm some kind of overachiever. 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤣

To be honest... I believe it's possible to notice effects before 4 days have passed! That's my experience too. I've been on reta for 4 weeks now, and even though the scale hasn't budged much, I've been feeling it from the start! My appetite was shut down by my very first pin. The inflammation in my joints has gone down, and my legiments are more bendy (that's the scientific term). After losing my 20 yr old son, I developed fibromyalgia, and everything turned stiff like rigormortise!!! Being able to bend and move again has been such a relief. So much so that I'm OK with the super slow weight lose
