Just joined and I'm completely new to all of this. After reading quietly for a while, I've picked up quite a bit already. Excited to keep picking up more.

Seems like my first intro didn’t cover enough. I’m still quite new, but here’s how I got to this point.

For roughly 10 years I was pre-diabetic, and a few years back that shifted into Type 2. Heart disease runs in my family, which is why I’ve taken statins for around 15 years. So what led me here?

Even with co-q10 supplements in the mix, the statins brought on joint pain. Once I got the Type 2 diagnosis, metformin was prescribed, but weight loss was also needed. After about 2 years on metformin, I gave sema oral a shot. A few pounds came off, yet I ended up back at my starting weight. The main problem was insurance changes, plus sema cost $1200 each month. That pushed me to research, and I came across an online pharmacy / Dr who would prescribe tirz. Once I had titrated nearly to the top, I dropped the RX and started my peptide journey. Right now I’m at 13.5mg/ week, and more recently I added KLOW and CJC-1295 no dac with IPA. MOTS-C goes in within the next week.

I want to keep learning, since I’ve turned into a “sucker” for supplements while chasing these goals:

1) keep diabetes under control (A1C is 5.7 at the moment, and Doctor is pleased with that)

2) lower / get rid of hip and back pain

3) cut down risk factors for heart attack and stroke

4) maybe lower / get rid of some of my supplements

5) lower or get rid of statin (rosuvastatin right now)

Happy to engage with the community and keep learning.

My significant other lives with type 1 diabetes, so an A1C of 5.7 sounds like an impossible fantasy to me! 🥵 Nice job. I realize it isn't easy.

Not long ago, my household began incorporating whole wheat ancient grains into what we eat (instead of the commercial flour you find in the US). After 6 months of baking our own bread, rolls, and snacks, my arthritic pain has dropped by 95%, which I suspect is connected to my psoriasis. My diabetic partner no longer needs high blood pressure medication, and A1C stays in the 7.4-8 range. Peptides aren't part of either of our routines….so far. We chose to try nutritional changes first. Whole grain berries have made me really happy, and I could go on about them endlessly, but I'll leave it at that.

You've landed somewhere solid. Through the carnivore diet I turned pre-diabetes diabetes around — plenty of others have done the same. Once I brought in reta plus exercise, I'm now sitting at borderline healthy.

I won't say this is a claim, though I've come across accounts of folks who reversed type 2 using the same protocol I follow.

Roughly a year back my knees were hurting. Dropping wieght and working out took care of that too.
