Hey all, glad to finally be part of this. I’ve done plenty of digging on my own (Reddit, YouTube, ChatGPT), and this community keeps coming up as one of the strongest spots for learning and swapping info, so I’m happy to be here. Appreciate the add. I’ve already worked through a decent chunk of the starter material.
Quick background: I’m a guy, 52, 5'11", and I run a 5x5 strength program. My weight sits near 255 lbs, and eventually I’d like to see about 210 again. The scale number isn’t the whole story for me — overall health matters more. I’m also trying to tackle inflammation and get better recovery.
Where I’m at right now: I went the doctor-and-insurance route. Zepbound was prescribed for roughly a month, then coverage and cost pushed me to Wegovy. Right when things started looking up (1.7 mg dose - 1 month), insurance cut me off, claiming the results weren’t enough. I’d asked earlier about going up in dose, but was told it takes time. So I ended up on the lowest Wegovy dose for more than three months.
By now I’m fed up with both the insurance side and my doctor’s office. I’d already been weighing other paths, and it seems I’ve reached that point.
I got in touch with a Chinese supplier through WhatsApp. The reviews look solid and there’s a long history behind them, so I’m leaning toward placing a small order just to test the waters.
One thing I’m not clear on: the price list shows “10 vial kits” and also a per-unit price, and I can’t figure out whether I’m getting one vial or ten ("RT15 for $115 + shipping $60"). I’d rather not ask and come off as totally new. Right now it’s either a direct source I stumbled into, or I’m just buying a single vial. I know it's very likely just one 1 vile.
Either way, the cost seems fair enough to learn from, so I’ll give it a go. I’ll post updates on how it turns out.
