Compounded Semaglutide was what I began in May of 2023. I had fairly good notes going, though a car break-in ended with them taken, but across 10 months I dropped 40 pounds (my starting point was 240). MEANINGFUL WEIGHT LOSS DIDN'T SHOW UP UNTIL WEEK 12. Seeing how many users either quit entirely or assume their product is fake because 2 weeks passed with no movement really surprises me.

Gym visits were already part of my routine, yet near week 12 a shift happened and the pounds began coming off quickly. So it took quite a while! For roughly the past year I've been microdosing. Whether that has helped me at all, I can't say.

So a 2 year supply of Reta was what I bought. Week 3 is where I am, and a few pounds are gone. Compared with Semaglutide, my energy on Reta is much higher. I hope it continues.

Keeping my doses low is the plan, ideally below 3mg/week.

Melanotan 2 is something else I began. So far I'm impressed. Better color with less sun exposure — what's not to like.

Hey John, glad you found us! 👋

Your outlook is refreshing and those numbers speak for themselves. Dropping 40 lbs takes real commitment, and waiting through that 12-week stretch shows a lot of it. More folks should know about that timeline.

Hearing how sema stacks up against Reta for you is really useful; the energy lift especially. Seems like you're on a smart track with lower doses and paying attention to your own response.

Happy you joined! Let us know how it goes 👍

All the best,

Hey! I switched from sema to reta too, and I'm almost at week 5 now. About melanotan — I'd be cautious. Melanocortin receptors aren't just in your skin; they're all over the body. Given that the long-term effects are mostly unknown, or even assumed to be harmful, I don't think it's worth the risk for something that's mainly cosmetic and short-term, unlike weight loss, which is 100% worth it.

Thanks for the details about melanotan 2, I'll definitely need to continue reading up on it! Although I think none of these compounds come without a cost, my research hasn't turned up many negatives (aside from freckles and spots) I will for sure keep investigating.

Reta wears me out, yet it's been effective for dropping inches. Between January and now, my jeans went from a size 18 down to a size 14.

The number on the scale barely budges, but I'm racking up non-scale wins. My wedding ring had gotten so loose it was at risk of slipping off, so it now sits on my middle finger. Reta is that girl!

Well, the tiredness has definitely set in. I've worked my way up to 3mg/week, and when it comes to energy, my mornings are awful. Unless I hit the gym first thing, the rest of my day is ruined. The flip side is that after I walk out of the gym, my energy returns and I get a lot done.

That being said, my schedule is about as bad as it gets (oilfield). I was genuinely hoping to stay at the lowest possible dose, but I keep coming across talk of this magical 4mg milestone when it comes to the benefits.

Something else I remember from my GLP1 days: I barely lost any weight until I added a proper weight lifting routine. Up to that point, cardio (stair climber) was basically all I did. It's possible that's just a coincidence with having been on it for 12 weeks and the pep finally kicking in.

I'll keep posting here until my priveleges are upgraded.
