Hey everyone! I'm a guy in my middle years living in the southern part of the US. A few injuries and surgeries over the last 2 years have taken a real toll on my body. All my life I'd been on the lean and athletic side, but everything has stacked up and now the first digit on my scale reads 2. That feels awful. I'm working to get back to where I used to be, but my body is resisting every step. Over the past 2 months my weight has hardly moved (truly under 3 pounds gone), likely since my metabolism has tanked and I'm constantly hit with intense cravings. My insurance refuses to cover GLPs and a prescription is out of my price range, so I'm looking into every other route discussed here.

I get exactly what you mean. After feeling like my effort was solid, the lack of progress started to wear on me. Glad to have you here, and good luck with the peptide journey. There is an endless amount of knowledge and chances to learn. Be sure to look over the rules section. Soak up everything you can, since that will keep you from getting ripped off, wasting cash on crypto, or taking the wrong medication. Cheers from Bama

I'm in the same boat — it feels like my body simply won't function without GLPs anymore. My plan is to reach my target weight, then find a micro dose approach that works for the long haul.

Appreciate it! There's clearly a ton for me to pick up around here. The fundamentals I've got down, but Reddit feels like the wild west, so I'm after information I can actually rely on.

Take a look through the other sections — they'll point you toward what you need and keep you from getting ripped off. Best of luck on your journey, my friend!

I get exactly where you're coming from! Wishing you a great experience in this space and that you get the support you're after. Insurance can't be counted on, and nothing matters more than our health

Haha, this really resonates with me. Right now I'm going through the purchase process, but I'm still feeling doubtful and anxious about it.

Honestly, I figure every one of us has hit a moment where a bit of direction was necessary just to manage. It's been just a few days since I joined the forums, yet I've picked up plenty, and I'm on the verge of putting in my very first order soon. Check out everything, turn to the search function when something comes up, and connect with the community—they're really supportive and full of good insight. Best of luck with your path.

Appreciate it! There's a handful of things I've been wondering about that just reading through threads hasn't cleared up. I'll keep digging around, but once I can start posting I'm sure I'll have a whole list ready.

Did you get any bloodwork or hormone panels? I had a few run myself, and the results weren't remarkable — T came back on the low side of average, but that doesn't account for everything I'm dealing with.

If there's anything I can assist you with (as long as it doesn't land either of us in hot water), I'm always glad to lend a hand.

Yeah, for the past 3 years I've been getting a full panel roughly every 6 months. My testosterone came back low, so I started TRT. That helped somewhat, but it didn't do much of anything for my weight. The oddest part is that I'm above 350lbs, yet nothing bad shows up in my labs. Since starting Reta, however, the weight keeps coming off and I feel a lot better in general.

That's not something you see every day, though honestly, it's a positive thing too. And as you keep pushing toward that target, things are only going to improve.

If starting on Tirz through a compounding pharmacy puts your mind at ease, that's a fine way to begin — but after the results show up, you won't want to stop, and once the price tag comes into view, you'll be looking to source it on your own. My advice: take your time. Working out a few things took me quite a while.
