Hey everyone, good to meet you all!

I've been involved in the gray GLP scene for roughly a year at this point — basically right from when my doctor wrote me a Zepbound prescription. The shortage had just wrapped up, and combined with how unpredictable the American healthcare system can be, I didn't have much faith in the traditional pharma route. On top of that, I'd recently watched the South Park deep dive on the gray market, and it struck me that this could fit alongside other hobbies I've picked up over the years (things like growing fun plants and fungi).

So come February 2025, I made my way onto Discord and TG, got in touch with a bunch of vendors, learned about other peptides and biohacking, and spent the rest of 2025 exploring the wider peptide world.

I was always aware this forum was out there, but Discord was giving me what I needed, so I stayed put. Lately things over there have slowed down a lot, so I thought signing up here could be a solid way to keep in touch with the community.

I get that my path might seem a little backwards — I suspect plenty of folks here started out on this forum first. Hopefully I can pass along what I've picked up over the last year, plus bring in my background in clinical (pharma) supply chain, which is what I do for a living (oncology is my field, and I've never been employed by a company operating in the weight loss space).

It's genuinely encouraging to learn that a person who knows pharma supply chains well has no problem engaging with the grey market. I've only just begun to test the waters - it's too soon to tell if it's doing anything for me.

If you went with a vendor that has a solid reputation (and I've noticed several names I recognized from before are participating here), then odds are good it'll eventually do its job. When it comes to GLPs, I personally stick with the dosing schedules the manufacturers recommend, especially regarding stepping the dose up. The only tweak I've made: injecting every 5 days rather than 7, which leaves me a comfortable 2 day cushion should I space out on day 5. That said, I'd hold off on that trick unless weight loss stalls and you'd rather not bump the dose up right away. Either way, for anyone using Tirz or Reta, patience is the single most useful thing I can pass along. I began last January with Tirz and dropped roughly 40 lbs by July. Then my insurance moved me over to Semaglutide, which did nothing for me (no side effects, but no results either). Since I'd been building a stash precisely for that scenario, I put myself back on Tirz (gray) and haven't regretted it. Another 15 lbs came off on Tirz before I made the switch to Reta in October, and from there I've shed an additional 20 lbs. All told, 263 down to 186, meaning 77 lbs gone.

I'm laying all this out mainly to tell people to hang in there. Slow and steady wins the race. Rushing this process gets you nothing. Along the way, don't forget to build lifestyle habits and think hard about how you'll keep them up long term.

These days I'm hearing "you're too skinny" from people, even though a stubborn patch of belly fat remains that I'm still working on. I've been doing strength training for nearly as long as I've been using GLPs, and I doubt I've lost much muscle mass, though I was never particularly strong to start with. Right now my goal is putting on weight, specifically as muscle.

Regarding my pharma background, here's what I can tell this community: the Chinese vendors by and large understand what they're selling. It's essentially pharmaceuticals without regulation, or you might call it crowd-regulated, since we expose scammers and warn one another whenever testing turns up sketchy results. Group testing is enormously worthwhile.

On the storage side, I bought a -20 C manual defrost freezer for my peptides. I've watched lyophilized drug products clear stability protocols after 5-8 years kept under those conditions. It depends a lot on the specific compound, but with correct storage I think these products can last for years.
