For an introvert, writing an introduction isn't easy, but here goes. I'm in the US. Last year my rheumatologist brought up trying a GLP1, but my insurance refused to pay. After I came across info about compounded GLP1s on Reddit, I located a supplier and began compounded Semaglutide in February. During the first few months on the starter dose of .25mg, I dropped roughly 20lbs. Now I'm on .5mg and have shed another 5lbs. At the moment I'm waiting to hear whether I'll get approved for the Medicare GLP1 bridge program🤞 I had no idea this forum was out there until somebody on Reddit brought it up. I'm happy I came across it and I hope to pick up things from other members😁

Same route for me. Insurance just laughed, and the VA had me clearing 50 hurdles before anything moved. I read quietly for a long while, picking up whatever I could, before finally making an account....

Did you hit the same snag where government insurance made you ineligible for self-pay coupons? I attempted to use the LillyDirect coupon discount, but they said a law from 1972 blocks anyone with any kind of government insurance from getting it😭

To be honest, I skipped that step entirely. I went with a Telehealth compounding service since it seemed like the easiest route, I suppose. I had no idea other choices existed until a family friend filled me in. These days I'm deep into it, enjoying looking into everything I can do on my own.
