Hola,

I bet this gets said all the time, but...I'm really glad to have finally come across a place where asking questions feels safe, with a community that actually knows its stuff. Lately I've started taking my health more seriously, and bit by bit I'm seeing just how much of a difference glp's can make. (I know it sounds cliche, but i really am thankful to have found this space.

Greetings from a fellow Midwesterner! Without a doubt, this community offers a ton of knowledge.

glad to have you. gaining knowledge is the initial move toward gaining clarity. still, this page can feel like way too much info at once sometimes.

that landed right on the mark - no worries though, the amazing msg-packed chinese takeout we have here isn't everyone's cup of tea, haha

🙂

honestly, what i want most is info that isn't skewed - i mean, i avoid comment sections on pretty much every (or all) social media site since, 1.) they aren't private and 2.) it seems like most people who know what they're talking about are 50/50 just trying to rip you off. Plus there's soooo much stuff out there (much of it flat-out contradicting other stuff) so getting responses that are simply plain ole informative will be great.

personally, the appeal is simply having moderators, members, and the like who are always combing through the platform to weed out scammers and turds whose only concern is a dollar. on top of that, there have to be plenty of folks on here offering 1st hand experience without any sales pitch. sure, no platform is perfect, but assuming this space matches my expectations, this cowpoke won't be stuck wading through Reddit bs anymore.

Shaking my head — cheese curds and chili mac are perfectly fine!
That's exactly my point - grab a bunch of cheese curds, then head to the movie theater and wreck someone's evening

I'll take an Italian beef plus cheese curds, please…

for me, reddit and fb groups are basically dead to me now. insta is even worse. it's basically a bunch of blind people being guided by a handful of guys with cataracts. the only 2 spots i check regularly for real information are this place and peptidecritics.

I'd say the Italian beef belongs to the East Coast. As for the cheese curds, they make me think of Minnesota.

The Italian Beef (locals say EYE-tal-yon) reached its peak form in Chicago, where the bun gets soaked after a dip in the beef broth. Yum

@domin8brix On the pizza front: Lou Malnati's does deep, Pequods is flat, and Barnaby's is tavern-style. Is it okay to talk pizza places here lol?

that would go down as the most hilarious mod strike in history, honestly. getting a stern warning because of a piece of pizza. turns out the mod is from new haven and has zero tolerance for that casserole people call chicago deep dish. hahahhaha

The Lou Malnatis pick is why I'm hitting that block button lol

Though given that the OP hails from my state, that jab lands closer to home for them lol

Nice! I'm from the Midwest too 😉 Everyone here has been really warm and supportive. For me, the weight loss group has been especially useful. There's plenty of solid information and personal stories shared by other members.
