Hey everybody. Name's Recvo, 44 years old, living in South Florida.

No reason to dress it up, so here's how it actually went. I started lifting at 17, and by my 20s I was experimenting with underground gear. Did plenty of cycles and figured I had it all figured out. Problem was my PCT was garbage, so I crashed badly — mood tanked, weight came back on quick, estrogen was likely sky high. Eventually I saw an actual doctor and my testosterone reading was 82. Not a typo, 82. They set me up on a legit protocol with pharma test and honestly it changed my life. That was roughly 20 years back, and I've stayed on TRT since. Right now I'm running test, HCG, and anastrozole.

Some years ago a friend of mine ran a med spa doing HRT/TRT, and he hired me to help scale his sales side — CRM, call scripts, handling objections, training staff. Eventually he got me doing part-time sales as well. I already knew a fair amount about hormones, but being there is what really introduced me to peptides, and I've been hooked on the subject since. I genuinely enjoy it.

Then this past January hit — I was 267 lbs at 6'1". That's the second-highest I've ever weighed. Too much work stress, too much alcohol, skipped the gym too often, plus a couple of injuries that took me out. I'm built so I hide the weight decently thanks to the muscle underneath, but I knew I'd let things slide. So I started retatrutide and got disciplined again.

The reta came on strong those first couple weeks. Nausea hit the day after my first pin that week, eased off by day 3-4, then the same pattern showed up when I raised the dose in week 2, only stronger. Had some odd heightened skin and nerve feelings now and then — not extreme, but I noticed them. Around weeks 3-4 I got headaches, which I'm fairly sure came from dehydration, since they cleared up once I started drinking more water. The appetite suppression is serious — which is tricky for me because I need protein high to keep my muscle. Other than that, it's been excellent.

I'm at 233 now. The first 20 lbs came off in roughly 3-4 weeks, fast, but I also train and eat like a bodybuilder when I'm committed, so the reta mostly sped up what my body already does. I also suspect it's helped with some long-standing joint and back issues, which was a nice bonus.

On top of that I'm using a few other peptides for recovery and overall health — those have been a huge upgrade on top of the TRT base.

My target is 218-220. Given my height and how much muscle I carry, that's where I'd look sharp. I'm getting married May 3rd, so the timing is perfect for staying motivated.

Excited to read, learn, and add whatever I can. I've already been digging through a lot of the threads and there's obviously a wealth of knowledge and experience here. Happy to be aboard.

Life really has its ups and downs, and it's great that you're diving back in! If you don't mind sharing, what dose did you begin your research with? I'm hoping to keep side effects to a minimum.

Thanks for that, definitely time to get things back in order. Sharing has never been an issue for me, that's the whole point of this place. Weeks 1-2 were 20iu, week 3 went to 40iu but it hit me hard so I dropped down to 30iu for week 4, which felt fine, kept that for 2 weeks, then bumped to 35iu and still felt fine. Tomorrow I'm increasing a little more; I'm using a 30mg bottle, so with 3ml BAC I'm at 30iu again but it's stronger, so I might go slightly higher and see what happens.

To deal with the nausea I ate a golf ball sized chunk of pickled ginger every day, which made a big difference, definitely worth trying! Also drank plenty of water.

Thanks! That ginger suggestion is helpful — I think there’s some ginger extract left over from my partying days somewhere. All the best to you.
