Hey all

About 15 months on Mounjaro for me, with a loss of more than 5 stone. My professional background is psychosexual psychotherapy, and I'm currently doing research on how GLP-1s affect intimacy in the bedroom (no idea if certain words will get me kicked out right away 😅

My work brings me into contact with GLP-1 users, and the sheer range of their experiences really intrigues me. For my own part, it has completely transformed my life.

Great to meet everyone

If you haven't come across kisspeptin and similar peptides that stimulate the pituitary gland, then hopefully you'll find what you're looking for while researching here.

Those subjects sound intriguing, I hope you avoid getting banned too! Welcome

That's a fascinating line of work! Mounjaro helped me drop 5.5 stone — it completely changed things for me.

Glad you're here. That's a fascinating topic. Looking forward to finding out what your research turns up.

If you ever get the chance, I'd definitely encourage you to post more—I bet plenty of people here would be interested in learning about it. Wishing you all the best!

Welcome to the forum!

I'm down more than 30kg (66lbs). That drop in weight has done wonders for that area.

At first, the GLP's kind of blunted my drive. It's as if libido dips for a while as your system works out what on earth is happening.

These days my bloodwork, blood pressure, and heart rate are all gradually moving into a healthy range (not optimal yet), and the equipment is performing beautifully. From the waist down, I feel a good 20 years younger.

One more plus: With the garage cleared out, the car certainly seems larger 🤩

I've still got 20kg (45lbs) left to lose, so prospects are improving 😇. I'm considering starting yoga to regain my flexibility too.

Welcome! I'd be curious to hear what you've found out regarding how intimacy is affected while using GLPs. I haven't started any GLPs yet, though I'm hoping that changes before long. Looking ahead, I can't wait for the day I've also shed 5 stone!

Welcome!

My wife and I began this together. We had each put on weight, and once my insurance was still paying for it—just before the "craze" hit—I made the move to try RX.

Then my insurance cut coverage unless someone was a full diabetic (my status was pre-diabetic). That pushed me toward compounds. While using compounds I dropped 35 pounds, and the result was that I felt great.

Depo-T (RX) has also been part of my routine since age 19. My libido went from very low—even with the T—to the exact opposite. I'll be honest: I credit part of that, and by "part" I mean a lot, to how much better I felt mentally about myself in my own skin.

My wife got started too and has been on this journey with me, since we had both gained weight and had a hard time getting it off even after several months of clean eating. It has boosted her confidence, and that in turn has pushed our personal/romantic level far higher than it has been in a few years.
