Hi everyone, I’m based in Montenegro and my initial order has been sitting at customs for roughly 5 days now. They appear to be enforcing things quite strictly, and I’m anxious my package could be confiscated.

Customs sent me a message inquiring about what the order is for, but I don’t know how I should reply. On top of that, I’m worried there might be legal consequences.

What should I do in this case? Any advice would mean a lot to me, because it would be really frustrating to wait this long only to have my package lost.

Hey, writing from Austria — I'm dealing with the exact same situation right now. Sadly, in my case, there's no way my package is making it past customs. I'm just hoping that once the customs deadline passes, it'll either be destroyed or returned to sender.

I came across this post on here, perhaps it could be useful.

Cheers

Is a free resend provided by your vendor in the event that the package is seized? If that's available, it would be the ideal outcome as a fallback.

From what I understand, your options are pretty limited—you basically have to sit tight and cross your fingers

Still, I hope it makes it through customs

What's the smartest way to handle this? Should I just act like the package isn't mine? 🙄

Yeah? At least that's how I see it.

I mean, the country you're in matters too (I don't really know what Austria's rules are), but if staying out of trouble is the goal, that's the route I'd take

The guide lewis posted says the same thing, though if you'd rather go another way, feel free

Yeah? As far as I'm concerned at least.

I mean, it also depends on what country you're in (idk the regulations in Austria rly), but if you don't want to get in trouble then that's what I'd do

That's also what the guide lewis posted says, but if you prefer to do otherwise be my guest

That works for me.

Under my country's laws, possession and personal use are permitted, though resale is not.

Still, when the order is 20-30 vials, I suppose it's simpler to avoid the personal-use argument 😛

I think the outcome mostly hinges on which country you're in and the way orders get handled; waiting would probably be the smartest move.
