I figure the 12h time zone gap is the reason, but come Monday morning we get flooded with vendor price list updates addressed to "Dear" customers, all dressed up as "New Posts".

Those aren't new posts at all! It's like sitting through TBS and getting 17 commercials back to back. /rant

I’m with you. When a flood of vendor ads lands all at once, plenty of discussions end up buried. Once something drops off page 1, chances are most folks never come across it.

Vendors matter to the community in 2 ways: they give members a reliable way to get in touch, and they help keep the operation funded. Having a filter option would be handy, though it might not serve the board’s financial interests.

Certain mornings the board is flooded with them, though like @5byfive pointed out, it keeps the lights on. Joining costs us nothing.

Try the "Ignore" option. If you ever do want to view their posts, you can simply take them off ignore.

That option never crossed my mind. In the middle of all this disorder, your voice comes through as both wise and kind.
