Hey everyone, this is my first post here. My MJ journey began in 2024, and after roughly a year on it, I switched over to Reta because it seemed like MJ was no longer doing anything for me. Progress with these meds has been quite gradual in my case, though I'm not upset about it since the scale keeps moving down—even at just 1lb per week. At the moment I'm using Reta alongside cagri, and while that combo does work, the pace remains slow.

Howdy! What were your starting and current weights? Losing 1lb/week at a late stage can still be pretty solid. My starting weight was 282lb, and I figure I'd be more than happy to keep dropping 1lb/week once I get below ~220lb.

When I began, I weighed roughly 98kg, and now I'm at 77kg. At first it bothered me, seeing others drop so much weight so quickly. That said, I think PCOS and thyroid problems have played a part in how slowly the weight has come off for me. Even so, I'm not really upset about it, since before this I was getting nowhere with just diet and exercise! So a 1lb weekly loss is a small victory I'll happily accept 🙂

Hello! I plan to move over to Reta before long. How did you handle tapering off the MJ and increasing the Reta, and what dosage are you taking at this point?

Hello, I'm new too and began with MJ (still taking it) while I wait for Reta to show up. Very excited.

Could you describe how Reta "feels" next to MJ? I've used MJ for 6 months and it's only now that I have no side effects, so I'm concerned it might take 6 months to get used to reta.
